That second president, he volunteered to be the defense attorney for these 4 HIGHLY unpopular people in the colonies at their trial. You know who they were?

Ummm, he defended the british soldiers responsible for the Boston Massacre, but weren't there 8 soldiers in that trial?

Who was the first president of the modern Egyptian republic?

8 was the number of colonial dead. But you're right! Also, all but one got exonerated, and the one was downgraded to manslaughter.

 Need to pick up my US history books again.

Good to move the topic back to World history again. My guess is the Egyptian president is Nasser. He was before Sadat, right?

Close. Nasser ousted the first president and sent him into issolation for supposid support of the Muslim Brotherhood and talking of democracy.

Was this guy president during the Lavon Affair?

Mmm, the bombings happened in the summer of 54 right? This man was president until November 14th of that year. However, Nasser was weilding most of the power in Egypt long during this man's presidency, and I think it was Nasser that the Israelis were afraid of.

What was the decisive battle during World War II that saved England, stopped operation Sea Lion dead in its tracks, and ultimately turned the tide during WWII?

Bonus: What invention helped win this battle for the allies?
