  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I am walking 45 min to 60 min each day. And trying to work out with weights approx 20 min on top of it. Squeezing in time is hard right now but I am motivated to feel better and look great. I enjoy the endorphins that lift my mood. I get sick of walking but it is does free my mind up a lot...esp when I pray and walk. :)

I lift free weights 3 times a week for 45-50 minutes. I also have a boxing workout I do (hitting a heavy bag and speed bag) which is 20-25 minutes.

Cardio I usually do 2 times a week. Inside it's either the treadmill or stationary bike for 20-30 minutes. If weather is permitting my preference is to go for a nice, haul "booty" bike ride, which usually is 1 - 1 1/2 hours.

I walk my dog every day for about 20 minutes minimum (depends on how far she'll go! LOL) and then I also have an elliptical machine that I do for at least 40 minutes for 6 days a week.

I've done this for a year and have dropped a size without changing my eating habits. I'm currently thinking of changing my eating habits so I can drop another size :)

I go for 3-4 gym visits a week, which are primarily cardio and core strengthening - 60 - 90 mins. I used to do a fair bit of weight training, but at the moment I have a back injury, so my focus is on strengthening the core muscles with low intensity exercises. I am working on fat loss (you can see my ticker for progress), so of course I want to build muscle as well, just not at a rapid pace.

I work out everyday for 40 minutes to an hour. I Bike usually twenty minutes at 16mph and put in 4-4 1/2 miles and walk 20-30 minutes at 3 mph. and I also use an eliptical and weight conditioning. I am also doing the Dr. Gott no flour no sugar diet and I started at 265 two months ago and have lost roughly 25 pounds with 110 pounds to go.

I like to break my exercise for the day into five or six eight-minute sessions. A quick jog around the block or a mile on the exercise bike each time. This keeps my normally high stress levels lower and I never dread an upcoming session. I realize not everyone can follow this pattern. I am a student so it works for me.
