It's amazing that such a small percentage of the population can be seen as an existential threat to the nation.
Because it has been elevated to a central focus. What we say - having to use pronouns - having to accept drag queens in our schools and with our children - The albatross of what DEI tried to hang around everyday Americans necks.

One more time, What bills were passed under Biden or Obama had that same misconceived focus? Be specific.
Major Legislation
• Respect for Marriage Act (2022)
• Codified federal recognition of same-sex and interracial marriages.
• Repealed the Defense of Marriage Act.
Which Biden was for before he was against - here are his own words:
• Ensured legal protections and dignity for LGBTQ+ families.
Executive Orders and Policy Changes
• Executive Order Against Anti-LGBTQ+ Discrimination (2021)
• Signed on Biden’s first day in office.
• Enforced protections against workplace discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.
• Reversal of Transgender Military Ban (2021)
• Allowed transgender individuals to serve openly in the military.
• Reaffirmed the principle of non-discrimination in military service.
• Presidential Memo on Global LGBTQ+ Rights (2021)
• Directed U.S. agencies to promote LGBTQ+ rights internationally.
• Categorical Pardons for LGBTQ+ Veterans (2024)
• Pardoned certain service members convicted under discriminatory laws.
• Restored honor to those discharged under “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”.
️ Community Safety and Inclusion
• LGBTQI+ Community Safety Partnership (2023)
• A collaboration between HHS, DOJ, and DHS to support LGBTQ+ organizations.
• Provided security resources and guidance.
• FDA Blood Donation Policy Reform
• Shifted to individual risk-based assessments, removing stigmas against gay and bisexual men.
Representation and Visibility
• Appointment of LGBTQ+ Officials
• Pete Buttigieg became the first openly gay Cabinet secretary.
• Rachel Levine became the first openly transgender federal official confirmed by the Senate.
• Pronoun Inclusion on White House Website
• Allowed users to specify pronouns, signaling inclusivity.
These actions reflect a broad commitment to LGBTQ+ equality across legal, military, healthcare, and civil rights domains.

Specific enough? All that for less than 1% -

I'm not arguing right and wrong - so don't go there - I am demonstrating that the Democrats have been focusing on the 1% and loosing their base over it.

It wasn't so much of a focus, though I could see it it might seem like that to the populist right, but just dumbitude. Elitist Democrats just don't care very much whether people are LGBT or not and don't really understand why anybody else would. Unfortunately, as a consequence they took initial resistance as nothing but the ranting of religious extremists and decided to dig their heels in. It didn't start out as a big issue for Dems, and they should have understood their constituents better and thrown LGBTs under the bus long ago.

What "1%", of the voters leaning one way or the other? That would decide based on these things? Please clarify.

These things that you quote are generally favored by a majority of Americans, except perhaps a few of the items related to transgendered people which haven't reached majority favorable status yet. I don't think the Dems are going to lose many voters (even in the working class) who were going to vote for them (or at least considered them properly) by saying they were going to redo the things on your list that Trump undid in addition to thing for working class people.

All those are recognizing the rights of groups to have the same rights as others. That is inclusion, not exclusion of one over another.

No - that is not accurate - and that might just be why the topic of the OP is an accurate representation and cause of the Party at it's historic lowest approval rating.

Well, it's not like drag queens were being hired as teachers. They read children's books to kids in the library. The horror...

The vast majority of this stuff was in response to discrimination toward trans and LGBT people.

These actions reflect a broad commitment to LGBTQ+ equality across legal, military, healthcare, and civil rights domains.

They may only number 1% or so, but they are still Americans, and shouldn't be treated as less than everyone else.

I'm not arguing right and wrong - so don't go there -
You kinda are. You certainly seem to be criticizing attempts to combat discrimination with inclusion and moves to ensure equal protection under the law.

I am demonstrating that the Democrats have been focusing on the 1% and loosing their base over it.
I think there's more going on than this one single issue. I've elaborated on those issues elsewhere. But certainly, a government of the people, by the people and for the people should still work to protect the rights of even a group that numbers about 1% of the population.

-- A2SG, the GOP certainly agrees with that idea...they just focus on a different 1%.....

Oh, why are there more 1%’rs that are Democratic?
No idea. Not all 1%ers think, or vote, the same. Heck, I could name one or two transgender republicans.

First you didn't state what the "1%" you were talking about was. Was it "the 1% of the population that is helped by Biden's LGBTQ policies"? Or "The 1% of voters that Dems would lose or gain depending on their LGBTQ policy?" or what?

In what way was I inaccurate about the general public's support for LGBTQ policy items?

(And I was asking about your 1% claim following a list of Biden LGBTQ policy items and trying to figure out what you meant by your "analysis statements", not addressing the broader claim of the OP.)

And they're free to do so. Not sure how that counts as propaganda, though.

Yes, and again that is ensuring rights for everyone. I am sure people made the same kind of arguments as you are with the civil rights movement as in, "why are you guys focusing on the coloreds?"

Why are the Democrats focusing on them so intensely they are ignoring their base to the point of loosing them in drives.

Every bill passed by the Dems under Obama and Biden benefited not only their base, but the country as a whole. No one is being ignored.

I think we had the discussion before. I see the Dems disapproving of Dems because Trump is taking a flame thrower to democracy while abusing power, and Dem leaders respond with "strongly worded letters." Recall all the "do something" town halls the Dems faced.

The very idea that Dems think President Trump is taking a flamethrower to democracy shows me just how much out of touch they are with millions upon millions upon millions of Americans who support President Trump. Also, in the majority of court cases at the appeals court and the SCOTUS levels, the courts have also agreed with President Trump. So, where now is the flamethrower to democracy?

Trump support since the Trump flamethrower to democracy has declined. There is a group indeed out of touch.

This isn't about Trump

If your default position is always - but Trump

Perhaps that is another reason why the Democratic Party is in the toilet.
You asked. I answered. You just don't like the answer.

Please - keep heading down that road - it is working so well for the party (sarcasm), it also pretty much insures a long period of GOP leadership.

We owe them a debt of gratitude. IMHO
