Many working-class Americans who previously voted Democratic are expressing skepticism about the party being able to regain their vote in future elections, the New York Times (NYT) reported Tuesday.​

Several working-class interviewees told the NYT that they struggled with their decisions to vote for former President Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election. The report comes as Democrats attempt to persuade voters to embrace their ideas ahead of the upcoming midterms and 2028 White House election.​

“I think I’m done with the Democrats,” Desmond Smith, a black man who voted for Biden in 2020, told the NYT. Smith told the outlet that he voted for President Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election.​

When asked how the Democratic Party could win his vote back, Smith told the NYT that Democrats need to “fight for Americans instead of fighting for everybody else.”​

“It seemed like they [Democrats] were more concerned with [diversity, equity and inclusion] DEI and LGBTQ issues and really just things that didn’t pertain to me or concern me at all,” Kendall Wood, a truck driver from Virginia, told the NYT. Wood told the NYT that he voted for Trump in 2024 after backing Biden in 2020.​

5. Visit the sick: Spend time with and care for those who are ill.
6. Visit the imprisoned: Reach out to those who are incarcerated.
7. Bury the dead: Ensure that the deceased are given a proper burial.

The DNC puts on a big show of how deeply caring they are for us poor working class folks. But a show is all it is. The ones who heap the most praise and admiration upon the DNC is the DNC.

References please (objective sources only) for "hundreds of thousands of people were trafficked."
That Democrats "twisted the law" 1% as often as the current president has done in 6 months.
That there is a single "rogue judge" who isn't a Trump appointee.

In the meantime, the "million casualties" due to COVID are all on the president who refused to wear masks--or let his staffers wear them, held "super spreader events" that killed Herman Cain and almost killed Chris Christie, pretended that COVID was "pretend" and suggested the kind of quack cures his current HEW Chief is famous for.

One reminder--coercion and threats are not "peacemaking." They are the actions cowardly bullies use to try to gain power over the vulnerable.

Though, I have to say, I'm not sure what the alternative would be. Certainly, the GOP is not on the side of working people, so who is?

Seems to me, either an actual labor party needs to form, and become viable, or the Democrats could get their act together and actually do something for the people they are supposed to be representing. Because the Republicans won't.

Well they need to drop the whole ultra liberal woke crusade and every member who's associated with it for starters. As for the claim that Republicans are against the working class, it doesn't wash because too much of the working class don't agree with it. To the working class, the Democrats are more about raising their taxes to give to the non-working class and people in other countries. Not to mention enabling zillions of people to pour in and claim refugee status and get supplied with cash and benefits. The working class has ended up further and further at the back of the line of DNC priorities.

For many in the working class the GOP is the better alternative. Why? Listen to those who talk about it and you'll know. Look up commentators the right likes to listen to. Watch a few Gutfeld clips. Especially what Tyrus has to say. There's a reason why Gutfeld's ratings are so high. It's the direction more and more Americans are gravitating towards.

Listen to those who talk about it and you'll know. Look up commentators the right like to listen to. Watch a few Gutfeld clips. There's a reason why Gutfeld's ratings are so high. It's the direction more and more Americans are gravitating towards.

Most of what I've heard are people parroting Trump's lies about how much he "loves" working people, or the usual right-wing talking points about how much we need tax cuts for billionaires and lower taxes for corporations who already barely pay any. I've yet to see any real, concrete policies coming from the GOP that will actually benefit working people.

They need to find a way through the opposing party labeling what they are, but really aren't. I think the saying goes, and it speaks to the horrid Dem messaging, if you don't define who you are, your opponent will define who you are.

As an example: make American great again is for all. Lowered taxes, balanced budget, more jobs, balanced economy. Extended unemployment benefits, stimulus checks, everyone loves prosperity, one last before the trib.

I'm not interested in getting into a protracted argument with you. Whatever you have to argue against it and say against it, doesn't change the way it is. It being why the DNC is becoming less popular and the GOP is becoming more popular.
