we write. we are poets, novelist, published hopefuls. But what do write for? Who do you write for? Is it God? Do you write truth?

why do i write? if i said i only write to glorify God i'd be lying. it's the honest truth. i write because it's what i like to do. i write because it's fun. i write because it keeps me entertained and allows me to express my creativity (though often only for my own benefit). i write for myself. i'm selfish. i already know this. i do not write christian literature/fiction. i've tried and it didn't work so i choose not to. being a christian though, biblical truths are expressed throughout my writings. i do pray that God will be glorified in everything i do.

I write to express myself. As a kid I would play with my action figures and would create huge and lush worlds with conflict, glory, etc. Now, I model my action figures on my room and write what I'm inspired to write.

I write because I love to. Sometimes I write because I am inspired of the beauty of God's nature. Sometimes i write because I was inspired by something on television or something from a book. Sometimes I write to teach or entertain. But I usually write to express myself, my creativity and imagination.

we are all inspired by many forces, most that are not God based. but the outcome is what's important. Write for him. He gave us this wonderful gift to blend words to move, scare and enchant people. we should write to his glory

Sometimes I just write to organize my thoughts, and give them grounding. Or great ideas fly by, and I'm afraid to lose them.

On a spiritual level, I have passions for certain groups of people that I feel have been left out, and I feel God asking me to rise and support them.

I write to express myself and write so i dont forget ideas and therefore i can always go back to them and think about them again and elaborating on them.
Its pretty cool. Ive been writing journals since i was 6 years old. When i go look back at all my old writings about how i thought and how i was expressing myself, i was able to see how i evolved and what idea's and thoughts helped me. Neat stuff.

I write (when the muse is upon me!) because I can't help myself! I love to create characters and give them a race to run, a challenge or threat to fight and triumph over. I love it went the characters become organic creations and start to dictate what they will or will not do, say or think. God's gift to writers of a pen and paper!!
