oncewaslost said:why do i write? if i said i only write to glorify God i'd be lying. it's the honest truth. i write because it's what i like to do. i write because it's fun. i write because it keeps me entertained and allows me to express my creativity (though often only for my own benefit). i write for myself. i'm selfish. i already know this. i do not write christian literature/fiction. i've tried and it didn't work so i choose not to. being a christian though, biblical truths are expressed throughout my writings. i do pray that God will be glorified in everything i do.
Well that's really cool. I wouldn't expect anything less than a passion for the art! Thanks for the honestyReceived said:I write not because of God or truth, but because if I didn't, I wouldn't be -- which is not to imply suicide, but something very much like existential despair. Every goal or ambition I have always returns to the itch to write. Writing is my possibility; it frees me from myself.
