CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Thank you for your reply. Maybe that is the only answer to that question. We are here to be a beacon for Jesus...even in our suffering. Maybe that is even part of the reason for some of our suffering because perfect people with perfect lives often can't relate to people who are genuinely suffering.

Thank you sis. You hit the nail on the head about how we may not always relate to someone who appears to not have any troubles, who come across as perfect. In contrast, there's a bit of an encouragement sometimes when we see an overcomer, those battle-weary individuals with the battle scars but who through the Holy Spirit's strength can still stand.

well, nobody is perfect except for Jesus but we are being perfected by Him. Even Jesus suffered, nobody is immune.
I would say, we are here for God's purposes, to glorify Him. The first commandment is that we love Him! And then we become like Jesus.
God Works In All Things
Romans 8:23-34
28And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. 29For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
31What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? 32He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? 33Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. 34Who is he that condemneth? It isChrist that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

The way God has laid my purpose on my heart is to love God and to love people. Ya, we don't have to be perfect to love people and the other person don't have to be perfect for us to love them. Our society is putting so many demands on us to work work work or if we are in school to study study study or if we party to go go go, to exercise, to eat healthy, to keep up with the news, spend time with family that we have no time to support anyone because we can hardly keep our own life afloat let alone help someone else. Its not healthy to push push push. My pastor once said that he expects people who work at our church to put in like 70 hrs a week. So even our churches can be asking too much. Now I say that because when we are that tired from all our work we don't feel rested like Hebrews talks about. There is a rest for God's people.

Yes,our purpose is to glorify GOD,while having a full life. As it says in John 10:10
"

10 "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life,and have it to the full."
After being in the Medical Profession,for over 46 years,seeing and hearing about sick people suffering,and dying,it is very obvious,that all of this is not what Jesus had intended for us.
I am still grieving the loss of a special lady friend of mine,due to cancer, on December 12,2015. She and I always performed together in the Christmas Production at my church. I will not be performing this year.I have not asked anyone for a date,nor dated anyone at all in 2016. In March of 2017,Lord willing,I will be retiring from the Medical Field. I will no longer have to deal with sickness and death, for five days a week,four weeks a month,and for twelve months a year.
