Hey, we switched places. I've been a Wisconsinite most of my life, graduated from UW-Madison, and now reside in the Twin Cities. I'm hoping to move back to Madtown some day. *rahma daydreams*

In high school, didn't we always say we couldn't wait to get out of Wisconsin? And now we're out, and we can't wait to get back

Dude, I didn't want out of WI, I just wanted out of Boringsville, WI (Rahma's and my hometown up North) :D But I will admit that I didn't realize how good we had it in Madison until I left...

You don't know how tempting it is  Unfortunatly, Madison doesn't have an ABA approved paralegal program, so I'm stuck in Minnesota until I finish it. I will be in Madison in a few weeks to visit my Grandma though

And, I'm going to run one of the races in the Madison City Marathon in May (not the marathon though, not yet  )

Another thing in madison I'm missing, waaaah. Although there's the taste of madison all year long on the library mall at the end of state street. I *heart* all the food venders.

I just started training for 5Ks, and I'm hoping to build up to longer distances. I loved watching the Iron Man when I was in Madison. My sister and I took our homework outside and cheered the runners on, as the marathon portion runs right by where my dorm room was.

We got some rain here in Milwaukee, and some *major* winds, but nothing too horrible like that. Lots of lighting too (but not a whole lot of thunder for some reason...). And only a little rain.
It's a beatiful cool day today though here!

I just came back Sunday from Wisconsin. We went to visit my grandpa and step-grandma in Oshkosh and my best friend who lives in Adams-Friendship, (but she came to Oshkosh). I think Wisconsin is a really nice place. I'm from Oregon and it's somewhat different, but each place has their own nice things.

Greetings fellow Wisconsinites!

My family lives in the Fox Cities (my wife and I live in Kaukauna, and my parents live in Neenah). I also work over in the small town of Rosholt (between Waupaca and Stevens Point).

Anyway, I thought some good old Wisconsin humor would be in order:

You might be a Wisconsinite if...

...you measure distance in hours.

...you know several people who have hit deer more than once.

...you often switch from "heat" to "A/C" and back again. In the same day.

...you drive at 65mph through 2 feet of snow during a raging blizzard without flinching.

...you install security lights on your house and garage and leave both unlocked.

...you carry jumper cables in your car and your girlfriend knows how to use them.

...there are 7 empty cars running in the parking lot at the Fleet Farm at any given time.

...you design your kid's Halloween costume to fit over a snowsuit.

...you buy your Christmas presents at Fleet Farm.

...Your whole family wears green and gold to church on Sunday.

...snow tires come standard on all your cars.

...you refer to the Packers as "we".

...you can identify an Illinois accent.

...You know what cow-tipping is.

...you consider Madison exotic.

...you can actually pronounce Oconomowoc.

...your idea of a traffic jam is ten cars waiting to pass a tractor on the highway.

...you can recognize someone from Illinois from their driving.

...formal wear is blue jeans and a baseball cap.

...you know where Waukesha is AND can pronounce it.

...your town has an equal number of bars and churches.

...your local Dairy Queen is closed from November through March.

...You can't believe that other states close down when there is 2" of snow.

...sitting in lawn chairs in the driveway with a beer is common.

...You have driven your car on a lake.

...The local gas station sells live bait.

...Ice fishing in march and april is perfectly normal

...You think getting up at 3 o'clock in the morning to go fishing is PRIME fishing time

...At least one male you know owns the shirt "Women want me, fish fear me"

...Not fixing things yourself is pathetic

Have a great day!
