I must say I like v.5. I've been on 2.8 and have been disenchanted with the upgrades ever since.
I love the convenience of playlists as well.

Wow, I just stumbled on a Web site where it explains how to do advanced queries in the Winamp 5 Media Library Search box. For instance, to find all my Pop songs rated 5 starts, I can do:
?RATING = 5 & GENRE = "Pop"
It's explained at the following URL (you'll need to scroll down a lot, but it's there...do a browser find on the word query):

You might want to print that table or save it as a local file (in case that URL someday goes away). I couldn't find it in the Winamp Help (though maybe I just didn't know where to look).
