I don't think we will "see" even that with our physical eyes. I don't think there is a way to physically "see" that which is incorporeal and bodiless in any way.
Many places in the Old Testament exhort us to seek God's face, and 1 Cor 13 tells us that, in the next life, we'll see Him "face to face". To "see" God is to know Him, directly and fully, and that knowledge is a gift, impossible to obtain on our own due to His infinite superiority. And that "vision" happens to cause sheer unbridled enthrallment in the beholder.
Amen. Many places in the Old Testament exhort us to seek God's face, and 1 Cor 13 tells us that, in the next life, we'll see Him "face to face".
Will we see the Trinity in heaven or only jesus?
I didn't claim that what Stephen saw was the pure physical yet he still saw something which steps beyond the pure metaphor and enters a more concrete concept.Stephen's experience was described visually.
Thirty years ago, my wife and I were both involved in an encounter with a demon. The Holy Spirit provided each of us with separate and different discernments of that demon. The discernment given to me was visual, but the discernment given to her was aural.
Same demon, but we would describe it differently according to the different discernments given to us. I'd have to describe what I saw, she would have to describe what she heard.
But in fact, the demon had neither a physical form nor a physical sound. My eyes did not receive actual physical light rays, her ears did not receive actual physical sound waves.
And Stephen's eyes did not receive actual light rays reflecting from a physical heaven. He discerned as "sight" a vision given to him by the Holy Spirit.
If you're a cessationist you already see clearlyWe see through a glass darkly now.
In heaven we will see clearly, no obstacles.
We will see GOD'S FACE
Also Your friend made me even more confused by that verse,
the verse says Jesus would be sitting at right hand of God. if He is God how is he sitting in his own right hand?
If you have seen Jesus, you have seen the Father. Will we see the Trinity in heaven or only jesus?
Yes the trinity is in heaven. God the word and the spirit are one. Will we see the Trinity in heaven or only jesus?
That doesn't answer any thing. Either the bible is unclear or you are unclear.
Why doesn't the Holy Spirit Know when judgement day is?
We both Agree that God knows Every thing. But According to the bible the Holy spirit doesn't know when Judgement day is.
I believe God is all three. Will we see the Trinity in heaven or only jesus?
That is also true. And execute righteous judgment is what He is about to do --- soon!"At the right hand" was a metaphor that meant "agent of execution."
To be at a sovereign's right hand meant you were the person who executed the sovereign's decisions.
I only do what I see the Father doing
The Son is the Agent of execution--which is what Stephen was saying that Jesus is. Of God, the Son is the Agent of execution--which was news for the Sanhedrin.
Have you ever heard of the HOLY TRINITY?
If you can see the trinity, you'll see them in one container, as as one in Jesus, is what I think anyway... He will be the light and the light source and they are light, so...Will we see the Trinity in heaven or only jesus?
Yes exactly, it was this that truly brought me to the trinity, and made me kind of begin to understand it correctly for the first time...The Father is omniscient.
This distinction is one of the reasons why the early Christians realize that the Godhead is of three persons--because there is given distinctions between them in scripture.
The Father is supreme in authority and thus can know thing the their persons of God don’t know.Matthew 24:36 New King James Version (NKJV)
No One Knows the Day or Hour not even the angels of heaven but My Father only.
How come the Holy spirit has NO Idea when judgement day is. Thats pretty awkard I thought God knows every thing , its confusing verse if we assume the holy spirit is God :/
