Will Trump's resounding and definitive win cause Democrats to reflect?

Trump is certainly a moral scapegoat a la Luke 18:11.
He's being called out for what he is. Not for how he compares to anyone else.

This is a point that seems to be exceptionally difficult to get across.
Almost ten years old give me a break. You have no idea where the man stands with God. Your opinion of Trump has no relevance to more than half of the country. God will judge him but for now God put him where he is so you should just accept the will of the voters and sit back and watch God use a man you detest.
I'm not interested in what you think God's will might be towards a man like Trump. If you want to ignore all he's said and done, then so be it. I'll expect you to show the same consideration to others.

??? An Atheist that believe in turning from sin and living Righteously in honor of God?
I didn't mention God. If someone wrongs me then I'd find it hard to forgive them unless they were sorry. Unless they repented. As Trump says he's a Christian then his repentance to God is his own matter. But then he's said that he's done nothing wrong that would require His forgiveness. Maybe you agree or maybe you don't. My position is crytal clear.

You know I've been thinking about this. I was on board with a little mockery of the liberals who were acting out and doing dumb things like this. Posting it on line for everyone else to see. The thing is we conservatives did have a group of people who rioted in the capital on January 6. We did have those chanting to hang Pence. There were those the DID break into the Capitol (and yes I know there were many who did not).

The fact is we did have those who did. So, I'm no longer going to point that out these people. People do.a variety of very dumb things. Humanity is a large mixed bag of goofiness. It was a small group of conservatives that did anything in the Capitol. It's also a small.group of liberals who are.doing things like shaving their heads, taping up their vaginas, screaming uncontrollably on video etc.

Both sides have done silly things.

Im.glad Trump won and I think things will get better for all of us. But I'll let my fellow Americans grieve in piece for now. Most of them are just harming themselves.
I respect your decision but as for me this battle is ongoing. Just look at the liberal governors who said they will fight Trump’s agenda showing their self righteous attitude. Even some on this forum still trash Trump. Liberals are lying in a bed of their own making and many still do not get it. As for Jan 6 it was a bad situation BUT it absolutely was not as portrayed by liberals. I also believe in time more truth will be forthcoming about what really happened that day and who some of instigator were. Trump was not an insurrectionist, that is liberal propaganda. We are in a fight for the soul of this nation, while we won a great victory the battle is not over and retreat is not an option. There is no better disinfectant than truth .

I don’t really care what you expect. You haven’t shown the same scrutiny to the liberal side you have shown to Trump and his supporters. So your post rings a little hollow.

No, Obama cleared that up years ago, (I can't recall what speech) when he said along the line, "America Gets It" Basically in mass when they SPEAK they're right on.
Let me see if I understand you. You are responding to my stating that the American electorate may have stupidity issues by pointing out that a politician - in this case Barack Obama - has made the vague claim that "America gets it"? I am highly skeptical that Mr. Obama was making a pronouncement based on objective examination of the facts - he was a politician with an agenda after all.

But that aside, I suggest there is, in fact, no evidence that the American voter is "stupid" - that is a vague, poorly chosen word on my part. But there is a case to be made that Trump supporters hold beliefs that do make sense in light of the evidence. To wit: a 2023 survey found that 70% believed the 2020 election was illegitimate. And yet there is no evidence for this at all.

I don't believe that flag did that. I think you are wrong.

And it sure does not promote your thinking that people are trying to promote Dominionism. In fact i think it does the opposite.

But you can walk in fear if you like. And after Trump is inaugurated you can tell us we were wrong when he sets up national religion and theocracy.
I don't fear for myself just for others who have fallen into one man's deception. Thanks for engaging.

Do you mean the kind of disinfectant we can inject into our bodies to subdue the coronavirus?

There's no need for that. Just go get your (checks notes...) TENTH vaccine in 4 years. As an added bonus, you'll finally get that 10% discount on a hot dog too!

Well, I'm not really talking about the battle against the leftist agenda. I am merely talking about making fun of or mocking leftists who are acting out of control. I thought i made that clear with my examples.
The battle against the ideology goes on.
As for Jan 6 it was a bad situation BUT it absolutely was not as portrayed by liberals. I also believe in time more truth will be forthcoming about what really happened that day and who some of instigator were. Trump was not an insurrectionist, that is liberal propaganda.
Yes and conservatives made it that way by acting out. Had they just followed Trumps admonition to march and peacefully make their vouces heard, we wouldn't have had any problems to even have to look into. I was horrified at what I saw in Jan 6 becauae we are better than that and I knew the left in this country would never forget it and would throw it in our faces every chance they got. I just wish we would have just marched around with signs, chanted and what have you. If we had we wouldn't have given the left any fodder to blame Trump for inciting an insurrection.

No Trump.is not an insurrectionist. That is propaganda.
We are in a fight for the soul of this nation, while we won a great victory the battle is not over and retreat is not an option. There is no better disinfectant than truth .
Yes we won a victory. Retreat is not an option. Let's move forward.

I don't have to 'scrutinise' what he has said and done. He shows us on an almost daily basis. There is no excuse for it. But apparently it can be ignored.

We're told that speeches are supposed to mean something.

This just proves there is no reflection by Democrats as to why they failed so miserably. All we see see from many is backbiting and blaming everyone and everything while ignoring the real problems. It is POLICY, POLICY, POLICY
You are right, POLICY! The problem I see with the Democrats today is that they are too strung out trying to please everyone and lost touch. Back in the day, Democrats did champion the working class but as more movements came on the scene they took their focus away from them. Like this current immigration issue, Democrats were doing everything they could to protect human trafficked by giving debit cards and hotel stays not to mention what the children get while Americans are suffering especially minorities. For something as simple as school supplies at Walmart one has to work and some get free stuff it's notable in high immigrant areas.

Then you have to think about how boomer immigrants feel like my wife. She hates this style of immigration because when her family applied they had to follow the law and jump through hoops to be approved.

Like some old Democrats say: I didn't leave the party but the party has left me. I kinda feel the same.

Why will they need to go back in the closet? Most republicans have no issue with them as long as they do not push the issue.
It seems like the some Republicans have less morals. So, why would the care about LGBT.

As long as they are not pushy most people have no problem with them existing and going about their lives.
