Exactly! And that's what I have a problem with. I don't think the 2 should have been different; they should have been the same. When you guys get to Heaven, everything is gonna be perfect, no problems, no temptation to sin, and you won't have a problem in the world. I think those same opportunities should have been avaliable to Adam and Eve; they should have been made flawless without the desire to sin and without the temptation of the tree or Satan to cajole them into doing wrong.[/B][/SIZE]
If Satan is not going to be in Heaven, then he should not have been in the Garden either. If a forbidden tree is not going to be in Heaven, then there should not have been one in the Garden either

Tell ya what: I'd like it better that way too. As I'm sure every other sane person would. You want we should get together and tell G-d about it? Kick Him out of heaven and take over, that sort of thing? Who does that sound like to you? And what happened to him?

I want no part of it, but thanks for the invite anyway. I'll recognize that this world is a whole lot bigger than I am, and there are things I don't know. And I'll see if maybe I can learn something from all of it, to understand the predicaments I find myself in better.

(reply)That's different! A radio is an inanimate object that has on desire to be found. God is supposed to be different.

The Idea that something needs to be found suggests a search. If one is truly looking for something then that person must adhere to the parameters for that which he is searching. Whether someone wants to be found or not has nothing to do with where the people who are looking for Him are searching.. Just because you can technically label your efforts a search does not ensure that your search will yield results.

When searching for God you must follow His rules.

(reply) Why must it be so difficult? Why can't a person who is sincere in their attempts; even if he was given some false information but is doing the best he can do with what he has to work with find him the very first time he searches? Why can't he (as T-Bone would say) help a brotha out?
So you are saying the Master and commander of the universe should come a run'n every time someone rubs what they think to be God's magic lamp? Do you not think it possible for someone to sincerely rub a lamp, or make a wish? Does everyone who makes a wish deserve that wish to be granted?

If God's stated goal for us is to start and establish a relationship that will last for an eternity, why would He nurture a relationship someone wishes to establish with Him that maybe based in codependency? Or what if a sincere person is looking for an enabler to help them simply keep living the way they want to live with what ever vices they wish to keep hidden or maintain? How could God be a righteous God if He allowed us to stay in our sin, and enable our vices?

It sounds as if you are looking for a smoke buddy rather than the Creator of Everything.

If God knows everything, he knew I would give up if he remains hidden long enough; so why would he remain hidden?
God was not hidden you were, and on top of that you placed a time limit and an ultimatum on your efforts. When in fact all you had to do is bend your will to meet His. You have to remember God is the standard, You are not.

I believe it is either he didn't want me to find him or he doesn't exist. If he didn't want me to find him then proceeds to punish me for not finding him would mean he is cruel. If it is because he docent exist...... now that makes more sense

It sounds as if you were waiting God to find you. Again, That is not what this life is about. Remember we have been allowed to leave in our sin. If we wish to be with God then like in the story of the prodigal son all we have to do is return Home, and the Father will come out to greet us. Remember the Father in the Story did not go after his son. He knew that even if He found the boy and brought Him home the son would eventually come to resent the father for it. (remember that is why he left to begin with.) But, if the son returned on his own He would love the Father all the more. Why? Because it is in hardship that love is casted, tempered, and forged. If we learn what love in Hardship can be, then we also know it is not a bond easily broken.

(reply) I am human. As a human if you try to accomplish something and each time you try you meet 100% failure, eventually you either go crazy or you give up; I gave up. Again; why must it be so difficult?
I have been told that
Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. So why not try something different? If the fish are not biting crickets then try a worm.

(reply) when I went to school, I was constantly learning and after 6 years even though I didn't learn everything I did learn a lot. If I were the same place after six years, that I was when I first started first grade, I would have given up on school as well.
But the key difference here is you went to school to learn. That's because When we want to learn we go to school to do so. I left you a verse that outlines 3 simple things one must do to find God. I even went so far as to point out it seems as if you are doing two out of the three now. Just like going to school to learn you must also be in the right place with the right attitude to learn or know of God. That is why I say, If you want to know God then you must approach Him as He tells us to approach Him. Other wise you could spend another six years and be none the wiser.

He tells us that He deliberately Hides Himself from the puffed up and proud, but reveals Himself to the meek and lowly at heart. Because of this we know one thing for certain. You will never stumble across God unless you do so according to His Written will

(reply) Thank-you for your honesty

(reply) It depends upon the wish. If the wish is to be saved; which was the case with me, then yes!

(reply) Humm... now you are starting to sound like Joe (from my previous scenerio) but what should I expect? Of course you are gonna accuse me of asking for frivolous things; rubbing a magic lamp, being prideful, not trying hard enough, looking for a smoke buddy; all false accusations based upon nothing I've told you. But that's your job! It is your duty as a christian to "flip the script" and blame it all on me! that's what you guys always do and it would be foolish for me to expect anything else from you.
So all I have to say is..... I appreciate your response

Peace
Ken

Ken, you mention "wishing to be saved." I don't know how that went, but it seems your point must be something went wrong. Right? Here's something I do know:

"him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out." (John 6:37) That's Jesus talking, btw.

Drich, we should agree in prayer that the Lord draw Ken into His fold ...

Revelation 22 - Passage Lookup - King James Version - BibleGateway.com

11And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

12His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. 14And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

God will definatly save you.

Jesus says verily verily I say unto you,he that believeth on Me has everlasting life.

The bible says whosever shall call upon he Name of the Lord shall be saved.

Even if you do not feel anything,Jesus word is truth and shall not pass away.

As you persvere in prayer and bible reading ,you will begin to grow and have love and peace and joy and hope and strength. As you grow and get to know Jesus you will feel His gentle love as you grow and trust Him more and more. You will also begin to receive strength ,His quiet strength.Jesus can make all things new.Give you a new heart.
Life will still have troubles and trials, but you will have an inner peace and strength to persevere and overcome. You will have hope, true hope when you trust in Jesus and totally surender to Jesus.

The bible says if any man sin we have an advocate with the Father,Jesus Christ the rigteous.

If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
