What were the past GOP policies out in place to reduce inflation? Aside from trying to dismantle ACA and reducing taxes for billionaires, of course; we already know that’s two of the policies. How the republicans deal with inflation and other problems remains to be seen,
"Pro-economy" is simply a description I came up with for lack of a better term. Over the years I've read/heard numerous complaints that all the Republicans conservatives care about is jobs and the economy. This was said a lot during the lockdowns. "They don't care if millions of people die, they just care about jobs and their precious economy" or words to that effect. Also complaints about them caring more about the economy than about climate change. So the ones complaining so much about the other's love of a healthy economy, are obviously less likely to care about it.It's a post attempting to blame Democrats for the GOP not having any actual policy proposals. Empty labels like "pro-economy" might trick a few people, but eventually even they're going to catch on to the pattern here - lots of posts blaming others for the the GOP failing to come up with any actual ideas.
I'm not familiar with "RNC talking points". I post my own personal take on things.Propose actual policies to these problems may alleviate the "scoffing". On the other hand, repeating RNC talking points without proposing alternate solutions (to Biden, democrats) may elicit "scoffing" as you describe it.
No you were telling me what to do, rather than actually saying "hey those are empty talking points".Hey look, an attempt to pretend I'm at fault for pointing out that a bunch of empty talking points were empty.

If the Republicans take control, that's when I'll expect them to take charge of the situation.
Being pro-billionaire-business-owners isn't the same as pro-economy."Pro-economy" is simply a description I came up with for lack of a better term. Interesting, lame attempts at personal attacks rather than a sincere attempt to address the point of my post. I wonder if that's convincing to anyone? It wasn't the the billionaire business owners who suffered through that. I can't believe you actually dont realize that. Are you that far out of touch?

No personal attack meant. You are a constant contributor to these threads and a usually well informed. I was just surprised you weren't as well informed on who suffered the most during the COVID downturn.
What the Great Recession can tell us about the COVID-19 small business crisis
How billionaires saw their net worth increase by half a trillion dollars during the pandemic
Too bad the new forum doesn't have a shocked Pikachu emoji.“We must be relentless in our oversight of this administration,” the number 2 Republican in the House, Representative Steve Scalise of Louisiana, told his colleagues. They plan to begin a raft of investigations: into President Joe Biden’s son Hunter, the origins of Covid-19, the FBI, the withdrawal from Afghanistan, and so on. But not, apparently, inflation.

The 45th President was a great communicator but a lousy planner.Yes please have relentless oversight. But then also offer plans to help the economy. Then the Dems poo poo it, veto it, tells us how it just helps the rich, harms the poor and how it wo t work. Please do that. Then in 2024 we can say at least we attempted to help the economy but the Democrats blocked it at every turn.
And for heavens sake get us a good communicator with a personality as a candidate for president. Someone who can articulate a plan forward.
