I got a Wii u for my 40th birthday in a months time, really looking forward to opening it counting the days. Got a real good deal and got blessed with some money at the same time. :) I really want my gaming to be used as an outreach too for God. I don't really know how I could? any ideas? I don't play that much really but have always been interested in them. I used to love the commodore 64 when I was growing up. My cousin gave me one with loads of games, I had a disc drive and everything. I had to unfortunately get rid of them. The graphics were rubbish then but I had so much fun on it.
is there any wii or wii u fans out there? I have a wii too.

I don't mean to boast but...I'm a diehard Nintendo fan! I bought the Wii as soon as it came out and spent virtually the whole summer playing Wii Sports with my brothers haha. I received the Wii U last Christmas, and I can say that it is the best games console I've ever had (well I've only ever owned a Sega Megadrive, a Wii and a Nintendo DS lite). The graphics are prestigious, and I can say that they can be easily compared to the Playstation and Xbox (though Sony and Microsoft are of course respectable companies).

I currently own NintendoLand (brings back the nostalgia of all the fun I had with Nintendo characters), New Super Mario Bros. U (co-op is so fun), Assassin's Creed III, Trine 2, Nano Assault Neo, Skylanders (though my brothers mainly play it) and more Wii games than I can count (such as Super Mario Galaxy 2, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Wii Sports Resort...)

The one thing I love about Nintendo, when compared to other gaming companies and systems, is that it gives such a pleasant and family atmosphere. While the Playstation and Xbox are designed for hardcore gamers, the Wii U is more about gamers, like me, who just want to have a bit of fun with their friends and family! (⌒▽⌒)

I have a Wii, but I don't have a Wii U yet. I may get one later if there's any games coming out for it that I am interested in. I didn't really care for Skyward Sword on the Wii compared to other Zelda games I've played. If one comes out for the Wii U, I hope it will be better.

I don't know whether to sell my wii for a wii u...

Definitely do it...but I suggest that you sell the Wii later. You can exchange the data from your Wii to your new Wii U. Thus if you've bought Wiiware merchandise, you'll find it on your Wii U.

Cheers!

Waited with my husband (the biggest Nintendo fan I've ever met!) outside a Toys R Us on release day to get a Wii U. Awesome system!

We just got "Game and Wario" sometime last weekend and have been playing it almost nonstop. We showed it to some friends, and they've been randomly showing up to play, too. :)

My favorite game so far is probably "Lego City Undercover." Super fun game with some great writing.

So far, I have Mario Bros. U, LEGO City, Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed, and Nintendo Land. I thought some of the mini-games in Nintendo Land were real disappointing (I thought the Yoshi and octopus games were sadistic), but I've really enjoyed all the other games so far. Never imagined I'd play a LEGO game, but LEGO City is fun and has a good sense of humor.
