  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I'd read somewhere [ OBOB ? ] that you had some mental health problems hence the suggestion of a therapist to help you overcome this defeatist problem - that could help - not guaranteed but worth a shot if you can .

I know what you mean about the bad days - they can be overwhelming but they do pass but you need to know how to manage them.

Just remember we all have times like this - my husband died a mere 2 years ago - and I still get overwhelmed by grief - and it's always at a MOST inconvenient time - but it happens , and with God's help I get over it ---- until the next ;)

Tristan,

Know that I am praying for you. I am so glad that you are feeling better today.

Be careful to follow a good diet as our poor western diets do affect our moods, especially ones that are full of diet cokes, fried foods, and high fructose corn syrup.

One of my fellow students came up to me and apologized for his bad behavior. It turns out that he had undiagnosed diabetes and ended up in a coma in a hospital. His first symptoms were despair, argumentativeness, and self-centeredness. We all thought that he was mental. However, once he got his sugar under control and learned to eat healthy meals without sugar, his days of despair, anger, and argumentativeness were over. He is a sweet person now.

I have recently discovered that certain allergens, such as my allergy to turmeric (the spice used in foods from India), make me very sick. It gives me nightmares, swollen ankles, hives, and can lead to a kidney infection. Whenever I eat foods with turmeric in it, I am more susceptible to fall into sin. I just cannot think straight as I become in a weakened state of mind.
