  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Uh, so then we come to party,
we debate over a beer eh?
Oh fine.
But NO politics, k?
:D

It's not debating, it's fellowshipping. :holy:

I'm in what we call a 'Small Christian Community'. It's a small group of folks from my church, and we get together to discuss the upcoming Sunday's gospel readings and how they apply to our daily lives. This week we all got together and talked religion and after that we talked about..you guessed it, politics! Then we had cake and lemonade and we all went home friends. So, it can happen.

Why even yesterday, I had a wonderful chat with one of my customers about God and birds and what not, and while I have no idea about his denominational preference we got along marvelously. I guess what I'm saying is, in the real world it ain't all that bad.

Anyhoo, if Jay, you, Bozo and myself were to get together I'm sure we would all seperate as friends. That is if we stayed away from the subject of whether a Bobcat could beat up a Grizzly Bear. :p (inside joke)

Have a blessed Sunday! :)

I wish SpiritDriven would remove his hat, but what's more I wish he would try to look like a man.

I doubt that he is a [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse]... but his character pic sometimes confuses me.

Umm, you do know you have a dead bear on the top of your head.

must we kill a living creature for food?
If I'm correct the Bible says something about animals being put here partly for food.
Why would God give us something to eat that we have to end the life of?
I thought life was a gift. I don't see why we're allowed to take that gift from all the animals we eat.

Jesus ate fish. Maybe you should straighten him out when you see him. ;)

Luke 24:42 And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb. 43 And he took it, and did eat before them.

I have no doubt that the griz would have a nice grilled cat. :p

Actually, I don't follow college sports much.

It would be fun. :ebil: raw meat tossed on the fire, cold adult beverages....mmmmm good.

Jay
Never had Bobcat, but those 'Grizzlies' sure had us for breakfast this year (again). 20-41 *sigh* That's why they aren't invited to MY cookout.:p

I have had mountain lion roast though, my wife's uncle in Idaho shot a male and two females that were killing his sheep. A little gamey for me.

Bozeman here (Boz Angeles) at least for a little while longer, you can stop by and have some anytime. Doesn't matter what faith you claim as long as you don't bring any Griz fans with you, everything will be fine ;)
I am so there.
(love parties!)

Yeah, that's what I meant to say, fellowshipping.
Did I use that d word?

Awesome.
Yeah, i do it often, but only by
not speaking and just listening lol.

We WILL get together too, one day.
Hopefully on this side too.
I'm planning on some big bash sometime
in the next year or two depending
on how the economy here picks up.
(I like to treat my friends)
But if not, we'll meet up yonder for sure.
That is going to be one incredible time !!

Have a blessed Sunday! :)
It was awesome !
Appreciate the blessing, thanks.
