1. I do believe this with everything that I am.
2. It seems that you have taken one post that I made without considering the other posts that I made. Everything depends on his grace, I love him because he first loved me. And what I was saying was that it was love that motivates me to follow the Spirits leading, not fear of punishment or something along those lines. I am not sure what your purpose was but you have misquoted me.
I was going to put a smiley at the end but forgot.

It is ironic that you would stand so firmly for grace, then seem to brag that you can find agape love in yourself. Even above, where you say that you love Him because He first loved you, could be misunderstood that way. Did you mean that you are actually bringing out a love of God from your dying flesh because you are grateful for God's love? Or did you mean that because He loved you and allowed you to be crucified and resurrected in Him you now have the mind of Christ, and therefore His love. Therefore you can love. Which did you mean when you wrote it? :p

Which meaning do you think a works oriented world would understand? Do you see that I'm not misquoting you but pointing out how easily your words can be misunderstood? Our flesh loves works and that is what it will read into your words.

I do see what you mean and I am sorry. Looks like we are all misunderstanding each other.:) But what I mean is that I cannot love God without him first giving me to love in which to love him. The love that I have for God also comes from his grace. But it is my gratitude among other things that gives me the motive to love him. While this love for him comes from him, it is a gift for me to decide whether I want to use it or not. He still does not force me to love him, it is a choice made with the knowledge and power that he gives. But nothing good comes from my dying flesh.
