CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yeah.....that's not me at all. I never thought the guys were blind if they liked me and I don't have an unhealthy love of self. I do however have some standards. The fact the guy has to be a Christian, or I won't date him and I won't have sex with him even if he is, knocks a lot of my "admirers" out of the running.

I don't necessarily see singleness as problematic. It's just a state of being. Would I rather have a girlfriend? Sure, but I'm not sad or unhappy like the guy in the video. People with similar faults and gifts as mine get married all the time, so that's not it. I get invited to more parties than I care to attend, so that isn't it either. Once in a while, I also go on dates. The kind of woman I'm attracted to is attainable. In the same league as me if you believe in such things, but not very common. Some of us just haven't met the right one yet. By that, I don't mean a mythical "the one", but somebody that we simply click with well enough to marry.

I don't think anyone should enter a relationship with the hope it will complete them or fulfill them. I just look at them as an added bonus but not necessary.

After reading a book on Christ centered singleness, I now know that I am already compete in Jesus Christ. I am focusing my single life on Christ and becoming the best person I can possibly become in Jesus.
