As I pointed out the Passover, the lighting of the lamp, the 12 cakes on the sabbath and several more commandments of God are also included in that covenant.

Ordinances are commandments. The idea that anything that God commands is not a commandment is absolutely absurd. That’s why we see the Passover and the New Moon feasts called ordinances in some passages and in others they’re called commandments. Read Numbers 28:1 again. You should already know this because I’ve already proved it by quoting verses that specifically state that God COMMANDED the Israelites to do them. When God commands someone to do something it’s a commandment. To say otherwise is just refusing to accept the obvious. You’re ridiculous notion that God’s commandments, statutes, ordinances, and laws are not all commandments doesn’t stand to reason. So according to Exodus 16:28 God’s commandments are not laws (Torah)?

Just like God seperated the Ten Commandments Exo 34:28 from the law of Moses. Deut 31:24-26

The Passover is an ordinance Exo 12:43 Num 9:12 that God commanded, but was not in the Ten Commandments but an ordinance that was handwritten by Moses, in the law of Moses.

Since we are going in circles and I don’t think either of us is going to change our views anytime soon, I’ll leave it as agree to disagree and all gets sorted out soon enough. I wish you well.

They were evangelizing to Jews and Gentiles. When are ALL JEWS going to be at the synagogue ? Oh probably ON THE SABBATH.

Luke 4:16 was during Christ’s ministry when the mosaic law was still in full effect and of course Jesus observed the sabbath BECAUSE HE KEPT THE ENTIRE MOSAIC LAW.

“And He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up; and as was His custom, He entered the synagogue on the Sabbath, and stood up to read.”

If we want to approach this critically we must ask the question who influenced who or did both cultures come to this number 7 independent from each other? They are competing cultures so it's no surprise that if one influenced the other their versions would also be in competition and have different values assimilated into the existing cultural/religious practices. Both are actually thought to be developed at about the same time, the Babylonians had a dominant cultural influence during this time and the Hebrews a relatively small one but I'm sure the Babylonians may absorb cultural values as they see fit and call it their own. This date is around the Babylonian captivity period which is about 600 BC.

I would say because the Babylonians have a greater history with the number 7 to explain why they would value the number it shows greater evidence as to why it would have originated from them over the Hebrews. Sure the Hebrews have the creation account and this is why they value the 7-day week and the 7th day as special but you need to ask why 7? The Babylonians can tell you, it's because it's the visible planets (plus Sun & Moon) so this is a foundational reason why they choose 7. With the Hebrews it stops at creation and doesn't get unpacked further. The logic would point to a deeper origin to the number, that may be because of some undisclosed value of 7 or that they adopted the system from the Babylonians and just got rid of the pagan parts (which is calling the days the names of gods as it relates to it's celestial body)

So much so that after His death when He ratified His covenant on the Cross, instead of anointing His body as soon as possible, she still obeyed Him and kept the Sabbath according to the commandment just as Jesus rested on the Sabbath even in death. Mary was one of the first people to see Jesus after He rose, had there been a change to one of His commandments He would have told her, or told someone, but He mentioned nothing about a change in His commandment because there is none. He already promised that. Psa 89:34 Mat 5:18

The Sabbath is part of God's law, thus saith the Lord Exo 20:6 that He wrote in our hearts. Jer 31:33 Heb 8:10 why the Sabbath didn't disappear in the NC its written almost 60 times. Kept by everyone we are to follow. No scripture tells us to follow man, Jesus told us not to follow man-made traditions over obeying the commandments of God, the Sabbath is a commandment of God and to claim otherwise is really a disservice to God because He said so, not only orally but He personally wrote it with His own finger.

If one needs a commandment repeated to Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy, will miss the whole point about the Sabbath. The Sabbath is not kept just because it's a commandment, our Father said "Remember" so it is kept by faith and love. The Sabbath is connected to Creation Gen 2:1-3 Exo 20:11 and to our Creator Exo 20:11 the only Creator that has the power to create heaven and earth and God never wants to forget where we came from and Who created us and Who is our Redeemer. He is the only God who has the power to sanctify us Eze 20:12 and keeping the Sabbath shows we are worshipping the One True God and not another Eze 20:20 and its the same God of Judgement Rev 14:7 because He changes not.

The scriptures are not meant to be read but to be prayerfully studied and in doing so and has some powerful stories of the bible that are meant for our learning and correction.

The New Covenant is established on better promises Heb 8:6 not better laws because the law of the Lord is perfect converting the soul Psa 19:7 and we can't make something perfect more perfect. If one carefully studies all the scriptures on the Sabbath you will see most have a thus saith the Lord attached with a very powerful message. God changes not and when we profane His Sabbath, He tells us Who we are really profaning Eze 22:26. We don't need the Sabbath commandment repeated, although scripture tells us it remains for His faithful Heb 4:9NIV the Sabbath commandment is written in our heart and kept because the just live by faith and by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. Mat 4:4

Its shocking why people fight the Sabbath so much when there are so many beautify promises attached to it.

Isa 56 :1 Thus says the Lord:

“Keep justice, and do righteousness,
For My salvation is about to come,
And My righteousness to be revealed.
2 Blessed is the man who does this,
And the son of man who lays hold on it;
Who keeps from defiling the Sabbath,
And keeps his hand from doing any evil.”

Sorry you need a repeat of thou shalt Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy. We obey Him through love and faith, not just because its a commandment. Scripture clearly shows the Sabbath is part of His law written in the heart, as the words of the covenant did not change. Psa 89:34 The Sabbath was named by God Exo 20:10 and the Sabbath is all over the scriptures from the beginning Gen 2:1-3 to the end Isa 66:23. It's part of God's perfect law converting the soul Psa 19:7 because no man can sanctify themselves Isa 66:17, we need God Eze 20:12

After Jesus’ resurrection did He continue to worship in the synagogue on the 7th day or did He repeatedly meet with the apostles on the first day?

What? He was on earth for 40 days until He ascended back to heaven. Changes nothing about the Sabbath commandment. I edited my post last night and acknowledged who the women were before you posted this, this morning so why are you still quoting my statement about “some Jewish women” when I already corrected my error last night before you posted this, this morning?

But the question still remains how would these women have any way of knowing that the mosaic law was going to be done away with at this time? It still hadn’t been revealed yet.

Your first reaction was to dismiss it, and even if it was just some random Jewish woman and not a close follower of Jesus, it shouldn't make a difference, it is still scripture, it changed not that the Sabbath is still a commandment after the death of Christ. I can edit my post though, I have no problem doing so.

No the gospel of John makes it clear that He was not with them everyday.

“This is now the third time that Jesus was manifested to the disciples, after He was raised from the dead.”

This takes place some time after 8 days after His resurrection.

It still doesn't say Jesus changed the Sabbath commandment.

Yes, Jesus might not have been with them every day after He rose, so I used the wrong word, but He was with them meaning on earth for 40 days before ascending to heaven. During that time, He told no one of a change to one of His commandments, He had plenty of time to do so, if He was planning on it, but He already promised He wouldn't Mat 5:18 Psa 89:34

it’s a record of what took place not a teaching of what is expected of us. It’s like you search for every use of the word sabbath in the scriptures and try to twist the passage into something it’s not saying just like the 3 passages you quoted last night. What you’re doing with these passages reminds me of how the RCC tries to use almost every reference of a fire in the scriptures to support their doctrine of purgatory. None of these women knew that the mosaic law was about to be abolished, no one had received the Holy Spirit, they didn’t even know that Jesus was resurrected yet but none of that matters to you, you’ll still try to shoehorn something into the passage that isn’t there.
