Presenting only part of the scriptures that supports your position while withholding the part that contradicts your position is cherry picking. You quoted Exodus 34:28 to indicate that the 10 commandments are the words of the covenant which is why you highlighted that portion in bold letters.Believing scripture as it reads verbatim Is not cherry picking.
As I pointed out the Passover, the lighting of the lamp, the 12 cakes on the sabbath and several more commandments of God are also included in that covenant.Exo 34:28 So he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he neither ate bread nor drank water. And He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments.
The Passover was a commandment. The Passover was not a commandment it is an ordinance written in the book after the fall of man. Not everything is a commandment Neh 9:13 God only numbered one set of laws by design and sadly all man does it try to tear them down, which I believe there will be a lot of regrets one day soon.
Yet God separated themOrdinances are commandments. .
Who was “they” in Luke 23:56? Joseph and the women who prepared Jesus’ body for burial? So your argument is that because a Jewish man and some Jewish women observed the Sabbath the day Jesus died that is evidence that we must also observe it?The Sabbath was still a commandment in the NT and one they were already keeping
Luke 23:56 Then they returned and prepared spices and fragrant oils. And they rested on the Sabbath according to the commandment.
Kept by God's people Heb 4:9 There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God;
The Sabbath rest is according to the commandment Luke 23:56 and God said in the commandment the Sabbath is the seventh day Exo 20:10.
The apostles observe every Sabbath because Jesus told them to observe everything He commanded
Mary is “some Jewish women”. Got it. No point in continuing, we view scripture much different.Who was “they” in Luke 23:56? Joseph and the women who prepared Jesus’ body for burial? So your argument is that because a Jewish man and some Jewish women observed the Sabbath the day Jesus died that is evidence that we must also observe it?
Again with this same old weak argument that the apostles observed the sabbath because Jesus did. NOWHERE IN THE BIBLE DOES IT SAY THAT. you just made that up from your own imagination. I’ll say this again just as I’ve said it countless times to you IF WE ARE TO KEEP EVERY LAW THAT JESUS KEPT THEN WE’D STILL BE KEEPING THE ENTIRE MOSAIC LAW. Jesus was circumcised, Jesus observed the New Moon feasts, Jesus observed the Passover. If were to follow His example then we would have to keep the entire mosaic law. NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES I POINT THIS OUT YOU STILL KEEP ON USING THIS RIDICULOUS ARGUMENT.The apostles observed every Sabbath Acts 15:21 Acts 18:4 just as Jesus did Luke 4:16 because we are made in the image of God to be His followers, not to do our own thing. Jesus said the Sabbath was made for human beings Mark 2:27 and everyone Isa 56:6
The apostles observe every Sabbath because Jesus told them to observe everything He commanded
Where do you see Mary mentioned there and why would she or any other Jew have any knowledge that the mosaic law was going to be done away with at that time?Mary is “some Jewish women”. Got it. No point in continuing, we view scripture much different.
the meaning behind the 7th day in the bible is not well defined except for that its the number of days in creation (which in itself is not explained) you can infer it is based on a lunar month but I don't think this is ever explicitly mentioned but even then why divided a lunar month this way? However, with the Babylonians, it has more depth as the number 7 was the number of visible planets and the sun and moon as well as 28 days (lunar month) divided into 4 parts (with the last week adding on the remaining days) and this is why they regarded it as important, albeit for different reasons than the Hebrews. 7 is already venerated and it happened to be a quarter of a lunar month (kind of) so this is why 7 was the number chosen.Yes, the symbolism of the number 7 can be most probably traced through Babylonia to Sumer. However, not even Babylonians considered the 7th day rest to be a command from God, because He created everything in 6 days and rested on the 7th, like it was in the Mosaic Law.
Mary was a close travel companion with Jesus and followed Him everywhere. She loved Jesus so much and we see that expressed when she took very expensive oil and washed His feet, kissing His feet and wiping the oil with her hair, much to the dismay of Judas.Where do you see Mary mentioned there and why would she or any other Jew have any knowledge that the mosaic law was going to be done away with at that time?
Edit: Ok Mark 16:1
“When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought spices, so that they might come and anoint Him.”
Mark 16:1 NASB1995
But the question still remains how would these women have any way of knowing that the mosaic law was going to be done away with at this time? It still hadn’t been revealed yet.

Mary was not just "some Jew" she was a faithful disciple to Jesus. So much so that after His death when He ratified His covenant on the Cross, instead of anointing His body as soon as possible, she still obeyed Him and kept the Sabbath according to the commandment just as Jesus rested on the Sabbath even in death. Mary was one of the first people to see Jesus after He rose, had there been a change to one of His commandments He would have told her, or told someone, but He mentioned nothing about a change in His commandment because there is none. He already promised that. Psa 89:34 Mat 5:18
The Sabbath is part of God's law, thus saith the Lord Exo 20:6 that He wrote in our hearts. Jer 31:33 Heb 8:10 why the Sabbath didn't disappear in the NC its written almost 60 times. Kept by everyone we are to follow. No scripture tells us to follow man, Jesus told us not to follow man-made traditions over obeying the commandments of God, the Sabbath is a commandment of God and to claim otherwise is really a disservice to God because He said so, not only orally but He personally wrote it with His own finger.
If one needs a commandment repeated to Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy, will miss the whole point about the Sabbath. The Sabbath is not just kept just because it's a commandment, our Father said "Remember" so it is kept by faith and love. The Sabbath is connected to Creation Gen 2:1-3 Exo 20:11 and to our Creator Exo 20:11 the only Creator that has the power to create heaven and earth and God never wants to forget where we came from and Who created us and Who is our Redeemer. He is the only God who has the power to sanctify us Eze 20:12 and keeping the Sabbath shows we are worshipping the One True God and not another Eze 20:20 and its the same God of Judgement Rev 14:7 because He changes not.
The scriptures are not meant to be read but to be prayerfully studied and in doing so, "some Jew" becomes powerful stories of the bible that are meant for our learning and correction.
The New Covenant is established on better promises Heb 8:6 not better laws because the law of the Lord is perfect converting the soul Psa 19:7 and we can't make something perfect more perfect. If one carefully studies all the scriptures on the Sabbath you will see most have a thus saith the Lord attached with a very powerful message. God changes not and when we profane His Sabbath, He tells us Who we are really profaning Eze 22:26. We don't need the Sabbath commandment repeated, although scripture tells us it remains for His faithful Heb 4:9NIV the Sabbath commandment is written in our heart and kept because the just live by faith and by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. Mat 4:4
Its shocking why people fight the Sabbath so much when there are so many beautify promises attached to it.
Isa 56 :1 Thus says the Lord:
“Keep justice, and do righteousness,
For My salvation is about to come,
And My righteousness to be revealed.
2 Blessed is the man who does this,
And the son of man who lays hold on it;
Who keeps from defiling the Sabbath,
And keeps his hand from doing any evil.”
6 “Also the sons of the foreigner
Who join themselves to the Lord, to serve Him,
And to love the name of the Lord, to be His servants—
Everyone who keeps from defiling the Sabbath,
And holds fast My covenant
Psa 89:34
My covenant I will not break,
In your own words, please explain why we no longer follow the new moon instructions, if you wishNor alter the word that has gone out of My lips.
I know that was written to someone else, but May the peace of the Lord be always with youI know I can't convince you, its not my job, but I'll keep you in my prayers.
After Jesus’ resurrection did He continue to worship in the synagogue on the 7th day or did He repeatedly meet with the apostles on the first day?Does God have to repeat Himself to obey Him? Is the God of the Old Testament a different God of the New Testament when He says He changes not?

Mat 28:18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go [c]therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” [d]Amen.
The apostles observed every Sabbath Acts 15:21 Acts 18:4 just as Jesus did Luke 4:16 because we are made in the image of God to be His followers, not to do our own thing. Jesus said the Sabbath was made for human beings Mark 2:27 and everyone Isa 56:6
Where was the Sabbath commandment ever abrogated? It's wasn't, at least not by God. God's people keep God's commandments Rev 14:12 His version, not what was changed by man Dan 7:25
Sorry you need a repeat of thou shalt Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy. We obey Him through love and faith, not just because its a commandment. Scripture clearly shows the Sabbath is part of His law written in the heart, as the words of the covenant did not change. Psa 89:34 The Sabbath was named by God Exo 20:10 and the Sabbath is all over the scriptures from the beginning Gen 2:1-3 to the end Isa 66:23. It's part of God's perfect law converting the soul Psa 19:7 because no man can sanctify themselves Isa 66:17, we need God Eze 20:12
What? He was on earth for 40 days until He ascended back to heaven. Changes nothing about the Sabbath commandment. Do you have a verse where Jesus said the Sabbath is no longer a commandment and now, we are to keep Sunday holy? That would be an important Text in my opinion instead of adding what is not there. After Jesus’ resurrection did He continue to worship in the synagogue on the 7th day or did He repeatedly meet with the apostles on the first day?
I hear thatExo 34:28 So he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he neither ate bread nor drank water. And He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments.
There is no new moons in the Ten Commandments. The new moon feasts ended, not a new month.
I edited my post last night and acknowledged who the women were before you posted this, this morning so why are you still quoting my statement about “some Jewish women” when I already corrected my error last night before you posted this, this morning?Mary was a close travel companion with Jesus and followed Him everywhere. Your first reaction was to dismiss it, and even if it was just some random Jewish woman and not a close follower of Jesus, it shouldn't make a difference, it is still scripture, it changed not that the Sabbath is still a commandment after the death of Christ. I can edit my post though, I have no problem doing so.I edited my post last night and acknowledged who the women were before you posted this, this morning so why are you still quoting my statement about “some Jewish women” when I already corrected my error last night before you posted this, this morning?
No the gospel of John makes it clear that He was not with them everyday. What? He was with the apostles every day for 40 days until He ascended back to heaven. Changes nothing about the Sabbath commandment. Do you have a verse where Jesus said the Sabbath is no longer a commandment and now, we are to keep Sunday holy? That would be an important Text in my opinion instead of adding what is not there.
It still doesn't say Jesus changed the Sabbath commandment. No the gospel of John makes it clear that He was not with them everyday.
“This is now the third time that Jesus was manifested to the disciples, after He was raised from the dead.”
John 21:14 NASB1995
This takes place some time after 8 days after His resurrection.
it’s a record of what took place not a teaching of what is expected of us. It’s like you search for every use of the word sabbath in the scriptures and try to twist the passage into something it’s not saying just like the 3 passages you quoted last night. What you’re doing with these passages reminds me of how the RCC tries to use almost every reference of a fire in the scriptures to support their doctrine of purgatory. None of these women knew that the mosaic law was about to be abolished, no one had received the Holy Spirit, they didn’t even know that Jesus was resurrected yet but none of that matters to you, you’ll still try to shoehorn something into the passage that isn’t there.Your first reaction was to dismiss it, and even if it was just some random Jewish woman and not a close follower of Jesus, it shouldn't make a difference, it is still scripture, it changed not that the Sabbath is still a commandment after the death of Christ. I can edit my post though, I have no problem doing so.
