Don't you think making people believe in something because if they don't their suffer for all eternity is wrong. It's like saying you will say jesus is the son of god or I'm going to torture for all eternity? what about a truely good atheist. they don't belive in God but have done more good for people then a certain christian. Does that mean they have to suffer ?

Well the problem is that even the greatest of all Christians wasn't good enough to get to heaven on his/her own merits. No individual is good enough to get to heaven. So no Christian will get to heaven based on his merits, just like no Atheist will get to heaven based on merits. The only reason someone goes to heaven is because they accept the grace given by the blood on the cross. And often Christians will approach people with the idea that everyone is evil (ie. not good) unless they are christian. But a true christian only wants to warn you about something, let you know.

Some may ask, well wouldn't a loving God not let some one suffer for eternity in hell. And it is difficult to understand why, and I am sure that through death we will understand the mind of God. But for now we can be grateful that our God (that is if you believe in God) has given such an easy access to him and to heaven.

Obviously it is your choice to accept or deny it. But know that whether they are in ignorance about God and Life, they are still looking out for you because of their belief.

Why not rather ask "How can we find common ways of sharing our love for our God?"?[/QUOTE]

Christians show their love for Christ in many ways. The most important way we do this is to profess His holy name as the one and true Savior. This will, in many circumstances lead others to ask about Christ, who He was, etc. In this way, the knowledge of Jesus can be introduced to peoples from all over the world.

I don't believe I can 'convert' any other. But I will never be shy or ashamed to plant the seed of salvation whenever possible, keeping in mind and respecting always the other person's believes.

God' blessings to all.

Say, you have a neighbour who has cancer. You know the medicine. Wouldn't you tell him?

Yes, i would tell him about the medicine, but I would only present it as one option open to him. The chosing has to be his. And I certainly would never tell him that "If you don't take this medicine you will die like a dog and go to hell!"

However, that is what many missionaries and peopel wishing to convert other people do!

That is a generalization. And most generalizations lead to a bad understanding of people. That is like if you were raised by abusive and hatefull parents and all you knew about parents was that and then saying all parents are hatefull and abusive. It is a destructive mindset for yourself.

At that hour the disciples came to Jesus, saying: Who thinkest thou is the greater in the kingdom of heaven? And Jesus calling unto him a little child, set him in the midst of them, And said: Amen I say to you, unless you be converted, and become as little children, you shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, he is the greater in the kingdom of heaven. And he that shall receive one such little child in my name, receiveth me. But he that shall scandalize one of these little ones that believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone should be hanged about his neck, and that he should be drowned in the depth of the sea. Matt. chp. 18:1-6

For you see that Yahushua never said anything of the sort about converting into a religion nor a denomination. Religion and denomination only makes the division worst and causes strife. Convert and be as a child for you see that a child's faith is not hardened by the ways of the world. Their faith is freed of limitations and conformity. A child's faith is what will get you into the Kingdom of Heaven.
