Don't have any, but it would seem that you do! ALL "613" right?
There is no biblical evidence of Sunday being consecrated as "The Lord's Day", or for any special purpose for that matter.
Jesus is now the Sabbath. There are no special days.
Colossians 2:16
Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath.
So? Again, has nothing to do with my point
I don't let pagans judge me
The law and special days have been replaced by Jesus.
Colossians 2:17
These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ.
John 14:15
“If you love me, you will keep my commandments.
Matthew 15:9
In vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’
Hebrews 8:13
In speaking of a new covenant, he makes the first one obsolete. And what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.
It says no one at all may judge others. No matter their affiliation.
As you said...the law gives us the knowledge of Sin....So it doesn't give us the knowledge of the Son or Faith...As posted in the post you are quoting from the purpose of the law is to give us a knowledge of what sin is and to lead us to Christ that we might be forgiven through faith, repentance and confession of our sins (Acts of the Apostles 2:38; 1 John 1:9; Galatians 3:22-25; 1 John 5:4)
I do not object. The Lord's Day refers to the day he rose from the dead--the key event in human history. As for counting the number of days, this has been discussed ad nauseum here and, yes, burial on Friday and resurrection on Sunday morning does involve parts of three days. We don't always recognize this because days are customarily counted in a different way now.
You are judging yourself. I already know we are all sinners.Who was he talking TO and who was he talking ABOUT??? So why are you judging me if you believe that??
Ok.. and your point is? - You cannot separate sin from the law as the law gives us a knowledge of what sin is when broken and righteousness when obeyed (Romans 3:20; Psalms 119:172) and you cannot separate condemnation from sin (breaking God's law - 1 John 3:4) from Christs forgiveness because if you do not know your a sinner you have no need of a Savior from sin (Matthew 9:12-13). Christ is the end of the law meaning that is where the Law leads sinners. No law = no sin = No Savior from sin = lost because your still in your sins and the scripture is fulfilled those who live without law shall perish without law *Romans 2:12.As you said...the law gives us the knowledge of Sin....So it doesn't give us the knowledge of the Son or Faith...
So you need to have the knowledge of the Son through your Faith in order for the forgiveness of Sins otherwise your sins remains...
My point is, our knowledge of Sin (through the law) cannot made us turn away from those sins.. Romans 2:17-24 gives an example of how the Jews had the law with them teach them to live righteous and yet they break it...Ok.. and your point is? - You cannot separate sin from the law as the law gives us a knowledge of what sin is when broken and righteousness when obeyed (Romans 3:20; Psalms 119:172) and you cannot separate condemnation from sin (breaking God's law - 1 John 3:4) from Christs forgiveness because if you do not know your a sinner you have no need of a Savior from sin (Matthew 9:12-13). Hope this helps.
I'm not talking about the Sabbath I'm talking about how the church valued Sunday as a day of gathering. You need to get your facts right here. The early Church kept the Sabbath.
There is also no scriptual support linking it to the Sabbath or the 7th day. There is no scriptural support that says that "the Lords day" is Sunday or the first day of the week. There is no scripture linking Sunday or the first day of the week to "the Lords day" anywhere in the bible. This is a teaching and tradition of men that is not biblical
Go and read Matthew 9:12-13 and tell me what you think it meansMy point is, our knowledge of Sin (through the law) cannot made us turn away from those sins.. Romans 2:17-24 gives an example of how the Jews had the law with them teach them to live righteous and yet they break it...
Romans 2:23...You who boast in the law, do you dishonor God by breaking the law...
This is the same law you think you can keep..
You know the law can be kept through Faith and it doesn't written in ink or stones but Spirit on heart through hearing the Gospel of Jesus..Not the written code in Sinai....
Nonsense. There sure is scripture linking "the Lords day" to the Sabbath. It has already been posted. Please see post # 12 on page one. There is also no scriptual support linking it to the Sabbath or the 7th day.
Ask Jesus (Please see post # 12 on page one).how can these verses show the Sabbath is called "The Lord's day" when not one verse you posed mentions it?
this doesn't say "the Lord's Day". also where in scripture is Q1? you are making up a question and pretending Jesus is answering it without out of context dialog?Ask Jesus (Please see post # 12 on page one).
Q1. Dear Jesus what day is the Lords day according to your Word and not the teachings and traditions of men?
A1. Matthew 12:8 BUT THE SON OF MAN IS LORD EVEN OF THE SABBATH DAY?
