Why the Hostile Jewish Synagogue Reception?

I was just threatened with violence and with calling the police simply because I requested to attend a meeting at the local synagogue. The exact words were:

"Stop harassing us! We don't want your kind here! No you can't come in! We don't want you here!"

All the while the Synagogue security guard kept advancing on me in a threatening way and demanding I leave.

Please note that when I asked how my peaceful request to attend their meeting was harassment, they didn't respond but just kept repeating the above. When I mentioned that I had a Jewish surname it didn't make any difference. Neither did my explanation that I was there seeking religious guidance. I will NEVER attempt to attend a Jewish synagogue again! It might mean winding up in ER.

What did they mean by my kind? Gentile?

From what I have read on Jewish blogs and seen in debate between Jewish Rabbis and Messianic Jews, such as Michael Brown, they feel that Judaism is being threatened.
I can't say that I blame them. It would be the same as Jewish believers infiltrating Christian churches in order to convert Christians to Judaism, which is happening to them in reverse.
There are problems in Israel with the influx of Messianic Jews to Israel.
There some Messianic businesses are boycotted against by the Orthodox Jews because of the Messianics proselytizing to the Jewish populations.
So it is not because someone is Gentile. Having a Jewish name it is even more likely that one may be a Messianic Jew which is even more of a threat.

Well, I guess that partially explains it. Maybe they should put up a sign outside the Synagogue so that ignorant trusting people like me don't accidental walk into a buzz-saw of hatred while merely seeking another possible way to God. For a horrifying moment there, I felt as if I was in NAZI Germany being hounded by the Gestapo or a group of Hitler's Brown Shirts.

Both the security guard and the Jewish behemoth who suddenly appeared from my right at the synagogue entrance demanding that I leave physically resembled Nordic type Germans.
So when he barked "Your kind!" it came across as racist since I am of the southern European physical type.

Isn't that violation of my USA civil rights? I think I will follow this up with litigation.

Have you ever had any contact with this synagogue before? What name shows up on caller id when you call someone?

I've visited a synagogue for a service. They were very welcoming, very nice. They just asked that I wear one of those little hats, so they loaned me one.

ETA: I don't think you have a right to enter a private facility.

This is the first time I make any contact with any Jewish place of worship either personally or by phone. I called them after the incident to report it to the Rabbi. I also sent the Rabbi a letter and requested an explanation. So your conjectures are wauyyyy off base. I have NEVER harassed anyone based on either race-ethnicity nor religion. I have been harassed based on those three factors and this is one of the most blatant, INDECENT harassments that I have ever experienced. So if indeed a harassment accusation is to be levelled it is to be leveled against them not me.

So the frequent times that I am harassed via silent responses I can't see who it is.

If that particular synagogue indeed isn't open to the public then why not post a sign saying "Jews Only!" instead of threatening to call the police or have the security guard Billy club the person? Such tactics are reminiscent of NAZI Germany and one would expect that a people who suffered such harassment would not in turn inflict a similar humiliation on others.

I have always held Jewish people in very high esteem based on my study of the OT.
So this demonstration comes as a real shock.
Why do you tag them that way?
