Why teach creationism in public school science classes?

It's not a double standard if one can be proven with artifacts, logs, genealogy, and history tracing back to the events from modern day.
If it can be 'proven with artifacts, logs, genealogy, and history tracing back to the events', then why don't you believe it?

I asked how you would react if you did not believe it.

Are you telling me that you believe everything you were taught in history class -- sight unseen?

If not, why is it okay for someone to teach something in history class that you don't believe; but it is not okay to teach creationism in history class, because you don't believe it?

Isn't that a double standard?

No. There's two simple reasons why creationism shouldn't be taught in a science class and they have nothing to do with disagreements. First off, god claims are beyond the scope of science by definition. Second, Biblical creationism has been falsified scientifically.

I've only been saying this for five years.

For the 11th time: Creationism should not be taught in science class -- it should be taught in history class.

The point is though, atheists don't want it taught at all, unless it is taught under the same umbrella as mythology.

Sorry, but I've been saying this to you since I saw you make this claim, history is also based on evidence and the evidence we have has falsified creationism.

Besides, the beginning of the universe (natural or not) is not taught in any history class I've ever heard of.

So you believe everything you were taught in history class; and for those who don't, it is because they are denying this evidence it is based on?

That's your problema; but if you can think of a better class to teach creationism in, then I'll take it under consideration.

I'm not denying the evidence it's based on, as there is none. And furthermore, for the hundredth time, the evidence that does exist regarding the beginning of the universe has falsified Biblical creationism. Liking or not liking reality alone doesn't change it.

That's your problema; but if you can think of a better class to teach creationism in, then I'll take it under consideration.

Christian mythology.

We haven't established that any 'creation truth' actually exists.
Then how about letting someone who has teach it, Mr. We're-the-only-ones-qualified-to-teach?

And does a [godless] history teacher believe everything he teaches?

(I know I won't get an answer to this question, no matter how many times I ask it. I've only been asking for how many hours now?)

They neither have established that any 'creation myth' actually exists. They're just intricately familiar with the details of the mythology. You might as well query why we don't have Imams and Islamic public intellectuals teach the Qu'ran as truth.

And does a [godless] history teacher believe everything he teaches?
I have no idea. Whether they believe it or not does not matter. It would be on the curriculum due to being backed up by solid evidence rather than mythology.

(I know I won't get an answer to this question, no matter how many times I ask it. I've only been asking for how many hours now?)
Too bad. When have I chosen not to respond to your queries?

I agree with AV. The true account of how my brothers and I slew Ymir and crafted the Earth out of his body should be taught in history class. The evidence is clearly written down for anyone to see!
 -- Some just can't separate the tares from the wheat, can they?
