It may just be that I haven't hung around long enough, but it seems there are almost no Buddhists here. Why do you think that is?

kris_kwel said:Eastern religion followers like buddhism , hinduism , taoism are usually not as voilent as we see in Islam and Christianity. They are more interested in philosphy and deep spiritual talks whereas western religion followers are usually more engaged in voilent arguments as we can see in discussions of this forum. Thats what i have personally noticed.

Illuminatus said:I wouldn't say that. It largely depends on the school of Buddhism you're looking at. Some forms of Buddhism are pretty much just a philosophy, while others, (Tibetan, for example) are clearly a religion.
Just my opinion, but this particular forum has been on a downward spirial of demonization and retaliation for quite a while now, so it's not surprising to see people who aren't into that kind of thing cease or significantly reduce the amount of posting here.Q2004 said:It may just be that I haven't hung around long enough, but it seems there are almost no Buddhists here.
