Why Should Women not be Permitted to go Topless in Public?

I'm still waiting for anyone in this thread to offer a valid reason as to why men should be permitted to go topless in public but women should not.

Honestly, I don't think you can make an argument for any public decency laws that don't rely on cultural and societal norms.

But norms change. Prior to WWI those cultural and societal norms required that men not go topless in public.

If people were angels we would have no need of clothing. Why is it that this thread is directed towards women only. Why not extend it out to include the scrotum, so that men can be equally objectified and scrutinized as if they too were meat in a butcher's shop.

Clothing yourself is apart of being a dignified individual instead of and object of desire and that, I think is why the principle of modest attire was put into the Bible. It is Gods determination that all his children would be identified by the gifts that make all of us matter instead of the bodies that cloak the realities of of person within.

I understand very well what beauty is only skin deep means and I would hoped that you would have granted me the honor of answering a question about this and my entire post as far as that goes.

I presume you mean beaches, pools, etc. But right now women aren't allowed to go topless in those specific appropriate situations. Again, why shouldn't they have the same rights as men.

This thread doesn't include the scrotum because we aren't discussing genitals. We are discussing giving women the right to do something that men commonly do. We aren't discussing men because they were given that right almost a century ago.

We are discussing sexual explicit body parts, which female breasts are apart of.

Because they have different parts. And women's beasts are sexual objects in American culture, and most Western, Eastern, and Middle Eastern cultures.

I'm unaware of a specific push to desexualize women's breasts, and am unsure if such a thing is artificially possible.

So, basically, women aren't allowed to expose their sexual parts, same as men, but women have an additional area that is considered a sexual part.

So, it's a double standard. But it's basically one forced by biology through sexual dimorphism.

Except they aren't inherently. This is what causes problems for women who breastfeed in pubic, an activity that if you see it as sexual in any way, you have major issues.

Sexuality is a thing that has existed since the times of Adam and Eve. It is a human thing and an inherent trait that God, himself placed in us. Why would Adam and Eve have hidden themselves from God, if this was not so? This has been the case from then and is the same today. The fashion and cosmetic industries thrive on this very fact.

And male chests were once required to be covered in public. Change can happen. I've been on topless beaches in parts of the world were that would have been unthinkable 50 years ago.

Already addressed in this thread. Just because there is no state law prohibiting it doesn't mean that women won't be arrested for going topless.
