How is this twisted?? God wants us to help others. To teach... not just to go out and have as many childern as we want...

How do you read this context then?
So...God told Abraham to spread the word of Christ? Think of this chronologically.

After Noah had his family, He was responible to spread the name of GOD through his children, down the generations.
And, there were not just Jews. Many years after Noah, there were different cultures and beliefs..

Why not believe in Christianity?

I am curious to what causes doubt among unbelievers. Thanks for the input!
Because nothing seperates christainity in it's various forms from any other belief in the supernatural that has or still exists.
So would you say that you have no desire for the Christian God to exist, hypothetically speaking?
I find the natural world and reality to be far more wonderous and beautiful than the God described in the bible who is described as petty and primitive.
Why would anybody want that? Just hanging onto the hope that maybe they won't die?

Afraid not, the myth of an infinite universe (which was popular among early greek philosophers such as plato) is indeed rejected by science. We are now sure that universe does have a point of origin prior to expansion. Atheists who attempt to remain reasonable, do speculate that there has been previous universes (such as Branes theory).

"Previous universes" would mean that the Universe (i.e. Physical Reality) has always been. Keep in mind that Big Bang theory, which you must be thinking of, has not proven what the initial instant of the Big Bang really is -- whether it's from a black hole from an external universe, or the beginning of Time, or a spontaneous creation in time, or whatever. Everything from that instant "back" is largely speculation.

If all you are claiming is that the known universe has had a period of expansion, that's a well-supported model, though not 100% proven, IMO. But this is irrelevant to the issue of whether or not Physical Reality has always existed, and whether Time has always existed, which are the meatier issues.

He's the first uncaused cause.

There apparently is an uncaused cause, i.e., a ground of being so to speak – but what evidence do you have that this ground of being is a god? Why can't some type of universe be an uncaused cause? Wouldn't an alleged god be more complex than any universe? If spontaneous existing of complexity is somehow problematic, then doesn't a spontaneously existing universe seem more the logical possibility than some unknown and unknowable ghost-like something that you really can't describe who apparently just speaks – or thinks? – universes into existence?

BTW, in Buddhism the ideas of cause and effect aren't even recognized. Ditto Vedanta and Taoism. So, are you sure there is even a real question here to be dealt with, or is this question just an ethnocentric affectation of western philosophy, both religious and secular?

They are monists - all (or Ultimate) reality is one. Cause and effect occur within our mundane reality, but these words have no meaning as regards ultimate reality.

I'm not so sure that is true. We better let representatives of those religions speak for themselves.

Their are those who say "Ok last sin, then I will beleive in God and Jesus" and till today they say the same thing all over and over again .
Their are those who beleive in "Evolution" .
Jesus does bother some of us in their daily life .
If they take a risk and beleive in him they will need to give up on some of their sinful acts : adultery, hate, untolerance etc... I bet they are fun and amuzing . So they reject him to avoid consciences problems .
When I do something really wrong and bad, I can't go to church and pretend that I am a good christian, I know that if I go I will be just a hypocrite .
Dont beleive in the Bible or in Jesus .
Try to be like Jesus even if you think he is just a christian myth, you will become a better person and then you will know the truth about christianity .

Try it you have nothing to lose .

That's odd, I just read through this entire thread and I didn't see one person say that they don't believe in the Christian God because they want to continue to sin.

Possibly, but what does this have to do with us?

Simply, I do not accept the christian pantheon or (most) biblical teaching because it is just too difficult for me to suspend all logical and reasoning ability to believe in the preposterous claims of the people/writings of christianity. I have discussed this subject at length with christians and all I usually hear is, "what have you got to lose by accepting christ."

Well, my individuality comes to mind first. I'd hate to lose that. My credibility as an lucid, intelligent, and logical person would be lost also. So, all things considered, I'll just say christianity might be the perfect religion for some, but I have personally chosen a different path.

Blessings.
