Nope , the physical evidence just points to a different scenario than the ones in the Bible. I don’t accept any natural phenomena description in the Bible as accurate unless it’s been confirmed by nature. I have no reason to re-fight Galileo’s battle with the Church because for the past 400 years the Church has lost those battles . It wasn’t just Heliocentricism, abiogenesis and Evolution, the Church had denounced Atomic theory

I think you are misreading Genesis.

But I also think that we are poles apart on this and that argument won't solve one iota.

Incorrect; all examples of DNA being preserved longer than 800,000 years have issues in regards to validity. That is, there isn't a single confirmed instance of DNA lasting even 1 million years. Plenty of people have claimed such over the years, sure, but their claims lack sufficient evidence.

I could have sworn I already had this conversation with you...

I used to believe in Ghosts too. Now I know they're demonic.

How about you? Do you believe people have a spirit?

There is a spiritual realm and a physical one . Science explains the physical realm very well without pseudoscientific nonsensical embroidery from religion . The spiritual realm is something that science doesn’t explain and frankly doesn’t try to. Science does debunk some religion based stories and pushes them from history into myths, legends, folktales, and fables. This doesn’t mean that the stories don’t share psychological or sociological truths but it does definitively mean that they aren’t factual histories

Divide , so where’s your evidence that Noah’s Flood actually occurred? The same Flood that would have raised the temperature of the earth’s surface hot enough to melt lead

I have a feeling this is going to be an exercise in futility, but you ask what evidence is there for an old earth (meaning deep time, right)? The answer is all of them. But how about we look at a fairly simple one - limestone. Limestone forms when tiny plankton die and slowly descend to the bottom of a warm, relatively calm, shallow sea. There the bodies of the plankton (cocolithophores) mix in with sand and begine for form a concretion after its' buried deep enough. While solidifying and changing chemically, it generates a a little bit of heat, but over a long period of time. When we look at the math of limestone formation for all the limestone on earth, if it formed within the last 10,000 years, it would have generated so much heat that it would have incinerated the earth.

There's around 1.2x10^8 cubic miles of limestone in the Earth's Crust According to a paper by Poldervaart (1955), calcite releases about 11,290 joules/gram (Weast, 1974, p. D 63). Using Stefan-Boltzmann Black Body Radiation Model, compressing down all this limestone formation into the last 10,000 years would release 5.308x10^23 of BTU, which is nearly 1.5 times the amount of energy the Sun radiates in one second, setting fire to the planet. The earth would not have an atmosphere..

Nothing is ever proven in science and there's no such thing as scientific proof. All scientific proposals and conclusions must be open to further data and potential falsification.

No such thing as scientific proof.
Common misconceptions about science I: “Scientific proof”

One of the most common misconceptions concerns the so-called “scientific proofs.” Contrary to popular belief, there is no such thing as a scientific proof.

Proofs exist only in mathematics and logic, not in science. Mathematics and logic are both closed, self-contained systems of propositions, whereas science is empirical and deals with nature as it exists. The primary criterion and standard of evaluation of scientific theory is evidence, not proof. All else equal (such as internal logical consistency and parsimony), scientists prefer theories for which there is more and better evidence to theories for which there is less and worse evidence. Proofs are not the currency of science.

That literally never happened. Humans are apes and because our ancestors were apes. Science has established that though evidence from fossils and genetics.

You really need to read that link I provided above because every time you write "prove" it shows you don't know as much about this topic as you think you do.

so if the earth is indeed so old we can predict that we will not find such a case?

so you predict that we should not find such a DNA from say a plant for instance?

The soft tissue from dinosaurs got preserved because of iron coming from the red blood cells . Plants don’t have a heme molecule with iron . Theirs uses magnesium instead of iron so no, this wouldn’t work with plants and it wouldn’t have worked with some arthropods as their blue blood uses copper to bind to the heme

You are obviously confused since Noah's flood totally destroyed Adam's Earth ll Peter 3:6 AND brought Human intelligence to our planet of people who descended from Apes. The flood had nothing to do with the temperature of Earth's surface since Adam's firmament/world was only miles in diameter. Adam's Earth is the one which was destroyed since the present Earth is still here.

Oo! can I get a free copy of your fantasy novel when you finish writing it aman . Sounds interesting! Not very plausible but interesting. I guess you’d have to work on it . First off, the last time earth was a few miles across was 4.6 billion years ago and there was no life here yet. And you’d have to work on that melted lead on the surface thingy from your so called Flood

thanks, so you predict that we will not find an ancient DNA from a plant. the problem is that we actually do find such a thing:

    https://www.researchgate.net/public...quence_of_Persea_pseudocarolinensis_Lauraceae

so the claim that we have no evidence for a young earth is false.

How does that negate all of the evidence for an old earth?

If we find evidence for the reality of Krishna will you abandon your bible beliefs?

You know all that stuff I was talking about, about the heart and spirit and connecting with the Wife and so forth> Well, I figured all this out pretty much on my own. By just playing with the girls mostly...well I have bad news for all you big brain science adherents who deny these things (or at the least have never experienced any of it!)...Technology has grown and there is a lot of science behind what I have been saying! (maybe that is good news for you?)

    The Science of HeartMath

Here's a short video that I found which explains it better than I did, lol!
