I have yet another question...Why does God give physical miracles to some and not to others. My background....
God? has saved my physical life twice.
I have never told anybody this, because it sounds so crazy, but I quess on the internet it is ok, plus I have always wondered about it.
So I am walking home very late one night. It is 2 am in the morning, and I have been studying at my friend house. I was thinking about my test the next day when I heard a voice say..
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
I had never even heard of that verse at the time. Skeptic that I am I kind of snorted and said to myself "I wonder if that is true" The very next second I heard this loud growling, and looked down and there was a large rotweiler mix crouched and ready to strike, its ears were back, and it was ready to strike. All of sudden I feel this strong push on my back forcing me to walk away. A block away I kind of shook off a trance and could not believe what had happened. This was completly against my nature to just walk away from a growling dog without panicking. It was strange because my mind was at peace and blankness, never have felt this feeling since.
Second, I was standing at a light waiting to cross when I felt this huge push and I stumbled backwards. A second after that a car ran over the sidewalk where I was standing. It was going very fast to avoid the red light. I think I would have been killed or seriously injured.
Nothing that spectacular since, though common to many people I have had close calls, that makes me thank God.
My question, why me? There are plenty people who die painful random deaths. I am glad not to be mauled by a dog, or run over by a car, but it makes me wonder why. I don't know what to think.
For what it matters, my faith, though at times unconvential, has always be very strong and personal since I was four. I have never felt abandoned by God, I have always felt like I have a close companion.
Love to hear some opinions. Thanks.
