Why miracles for some and not for others?

I have yet another question...Why does God give physical miracles to some and not to others. My background....
God? has saved my physical life twice.
I have never told anybody this, because it sounds so crazy, but I quess on the internet it is ok, plus I have always wondered about it.

So I am walking home very late one night. It is 2 am in the morning, and I have been studying at my friend house. I was thinking about my test the next day when I heard a voice say..

11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

I had never even heard of that verse at the time. Skeptic that I am I kind of snorted and said to myself "I wonder if that is true" The very next second I heard this loud growling, and looked down and there was a large rotweiler mix crouched and ready to strike, its ears were back, and it was ready to strike. All of sudden I feel this strong push on my back forcing me to walk away. A block away I kind of shook off a trance and could not believe what had happened. This was completly against my nature to just walk away from a growling dog without panicking. It was strange because my mind was at peace and blankness, never have felt this feeling since.

Second, I was standing at a light waiting to cross when I felt this huge push and I stumbled backwards. A second after that a car ran over the sidewalk where I was standing. It was going very fast to avoid the red light. I think I would have been killed or seriously injured.

Nothing that spectacular since, though common to many people I have had close calls, that makes me thank God.

My question, why me? There are plenty people who die painful random deaths. I am glad not to be mauled by a dog, or run over by a car, but it makes me wonder why. I don't know what to think.

For what it matters, my faith, though at times unconvential, has always be very strong and personal since I was four. I have never felt abandoned by God, I have always felt like I have a close companion.

Love to hear some opinions. Thanks.

He knows who you are and loves you. He knows us before we are born and has seen the beginning and the end of our lives. He know the number of hairs on your head and the number of your days on earth.
He also knows who will not choose to serve Him from the womb - those who will be His enemy. God always protects His own and causes them to grow by the trials of life when they are encountered.
God can even use the wickedness of the enemies to bring about good for those that love Him.

Ps 22:10 I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother’s belly.

Ps 58:3 The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.

Ro 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

I don't know either! I don't suppose any of us can ever know this sort of thing, except when we get to heaven.

But it's wonderful that these things happened
maybe it will help when you are in a difficult situation another time and remember that God is in control, whatever happens to us.

As to why some people suffer more than others, that's probably the most common question asked.

I suppose it is all down to living in a sin-spoiled world, and if God constantly jumped in to rescue us, it would become a very strange place to live, and hard to understand cause and effect in our everyday lives.

God bless, Susana

There's this documented story of a young girl who fell off a very high cliff a couple of years ago here in queensland, it happened somewhere up on the sunshine coast I think.

I would get weekly updated from her rellies about her.
She is a christian and she was taking a photo or something and was standing on the edge of this cliff, which is right on the shoreline.

She slipped and fell. If she fell straight down, which logically that's what she should have done, she would have died instantly on the jagged rocks below.
The whole area below was made up of jagged rock, except for a little patch of sand.
This patch of sand is 30 feet away from the base of the cliff. Cyclonic winds couldn't have blown her that far away from the cliff.

But she landed on this patch of sand, very heavily I might add.
She was taken to hospital and was considered that she would not survive her horrific injuries.

Her ribs were torn away from her spine, was the worse thing I remember being told.
There was no way to repair that kind of damage.
People were praying 24\7 for her from the time they heard she had fallen and how life threatening her injuries were.

When she was brought back from X-ray and they discovered her ribs had torn away from her spine, she was placed on her bed and they took another X-ray of her in her bed. The X-ray revealed that the ribs were perfectly aligned to where they should be , although they still weren't connected to her spine.
The doctors agreed to just leave her there and never move her anymore.

Miraculously, the ribs reattached themselves to the spine. Everyone was amazed.
She spent months in hospital. And as far as I know , she has fully recovered.

Many people came to the Lord during those months because of her suffering.
People were able to see God working on her, but also they saw God living through all the other christians effected by this tradgedy.

The Christian walk is full of suffering . And it comes in many forms and levels.
God directs the lives of each of us as He sees fit. Some suffer more than other, some have different gifts and callings.
Some life in poverty, while some live in abundance.
As long as the individual knows that this is what God has for them, that is the issue. Not what we experience, but understanding why we have to experience it.
And knowing that God is allowing it to expand His kingdom on this earth.

It doesn't sound loopy to me, if I count. God is real and does look after His own. I should have died in accidents many times in my life too, and when I think of the childhood dangers, I know that angels were watching over me.

Ps 91:11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

Heb 13:2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

Only thank God if you believe it was Him taking care of you.

Most people may think this story strange, but an angel changed my son's nappy one night.
We came home from church one night. Extremely tired, we put our girl to bed in her room and our son in his.
We just laid down in our own bed and remembered that we forgot to change his nappy.
LOL We never made it out of bed, we zonked out.

In the morning, we were dumbfounded to see our son had a fresh dry nappy on.
We looked at each other askingly, "Nope, it wasn't me" we both said.

I knew, for some reason, that an angel had come and done it for us.
I asked my son, who was just starting to talk, who changed his nappy last night.
He said, "A nice white man "
I asked in such a way so as to not put words in his mouth.

Does God care about us ? Oh yeah !

There are tons of people saved like that every year, but most are too afraid to tell anyone. Sometimes demons save people, sometimes (more often) angels save people. why do demons save people? Because they think that the person they save with give them the glory and not God. god saves people because he will use them later on in life and he knows that they will give him the glory.

I think that much of what God does on this earth is in response to people praying......perhaps you have some relatives or friends who pray for you.........
I think that dying and going to heaven is not such a bad deal but sometimes we have business to finish on this earth first. I guess the same could be said for getting severely injured...perhaps there is something that the lord wants you to accomplish which can't be done with severe injuries......
