As I go through the threads on this forum I notice there are lots of posts by RC's.
Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.
why did you become RC then?bigsierra said:If you're interested, I was you, for seven years. If you came over, to my house, you would see all sorts of Calvinist books on my shelves.
Would you rather us not visit, even in a non argumenative way?
Where does evangelism start?
That's my point. The way CF is set up each "denomination" (for lack of a better term) has its own "safe haven" where members can go and talk amongst themselves about their faith.bigsierra said:If you're interested, I was you, for seven years. Where does evangelism start? The Wesleyans don't mind us visiting there? What's up with that?
id realy like to talk to you about it though...catch me on PM or MSN anytimebigsierra said:All sorts of reasons, that I won't go into here. I'm still in the process actually. I guess you could say on paper, I'm still protestant.
bigsierra said:We love company in OBOB, as long as it's not argumentative. Many folks add to the discussions and it's welcomed.

I have sensed the same thing since I became a member of CF. In my opinion, the obsessive need to troll and correct flows from the experience of being in a church that has a history of 'outside the church there is no salvation'. They just cannot understand how one could have a conversion experience that leads OUT instead of into their church. They attribute most if not all conversions out, to misunderstanding, ignorance, or poor catechetical instruction. Now that, I find pathetic.Sola Gratia said:"Come to OBOB" that only allows one position, you see that "invitation" all the time . But all you will get or hear is one side of the story, there can be no disagreement, no matter how mild or polite.
Then come to SR and have every doctrine ot quote "corrected' here by Catholics . It would be funny if it was not pathetic .

But as Calvinists we believe the elect are predestined. So in the long run it does not really matter.
I would say I think it would not be allowed anywhere else or by anyone else on CF
NO problem, we keep the mugs frosty cold in dry ice....what do you use?ps139 said:Thanks for the icy cold welcome...

You hit the nail on the head. and this part, "the obsessive need to troll and correct" is certainly correct and the root of many a problem here.BronxBriar said:I have sensed the same thing since I became a member of CF.
