Why is there no world-wide proof of God?

What reason have God to hide is existence? Why is there people not believing in him? Shoud there even be doubt?

The fact is, as long as God gave us the option to choose, we have the option to not believe Him, even if He makes Himself blatant. The excuse that 'if God showed Himself I'd believe', doesn't work. One, God already is showing Himself, two, He walked on earth face to face w/ folks, did miracles and people still didn't believe.

One of Jesus' closest friends could not believe he came back to life until he could put his hands through Jesus' wounds. How can God expect us to have more faith then an apostle who saw Jesus do miracles first-hand?

Just because one doubted doesn't mean you are exempt or it's impossible. Look all in the bible at all that believed w/o seeing. There are loads. Plus, plenty of apostles that were near him believed, so that isn't an excuse.

A book says that people saw Jesus and believed. Well, that's all the proof that I need to believe in your religion over the thousands of others.

If we are to be honest & fair, there is some good reasons *not* to believe in a God who has revealed himself to mankind.

Perhaps, but there are some very good reasons, especially for me personally (which I won't get into) to believe. PLus, it comes down to, do you believe God or not. He walked the earth and people rejected Him still when He was rt. in their faces. Plus, I know people personally who God beyond a doubt revealed Himself and then they up and rejected Him later on anyway. So, you either believe or not, but all are w/o excuse because God isn't hidden.

I have an excuse, God didn't reveal himself to me. And I can site precedent in the case of doubting Thomas.

Seriously, there are way too many inconsistencies in Christianity that I can no longer turn a blind eye to.

God has shown Himself all over the place, just in creation alone. Hence all w/o excuse.

Well, did you actually know the Lord? That doesn't mean you weren't really saved, there are saved folks that don't really know God closely. That can make a world of difference. Not understanding things leads to seeing "inconsistancies" or whatnot, which takes God to see how they really are consistant in the first place.

He doesn't hide his existance. How can something outside of the universe have "world-wide proof" as you call it? What proof are you looking for, God can't be material? You want something outside of the universe to be part of it?

Atheists say that the very fact that we ask this question shows that God does not exist. I say the very fact that we exist shows that God exists.

I yet havent got any answers. Just because I cannot come up with a brilliant proof that will prove God's existence doesn't mean that there couldn't be. There is large speculations about God's existence, and Again I ask; why is God hiding his existence? Make people doubt... About Jesus; if I man comes up to me and say "god exist. I am his son", i wouldn't see this as evidence that God exist. Why believe him?
