I think that the point is that, being educated, the DACA kids are potentially an asset to the nation (depending on how educated they really are).

Eventually...once they become adults, they typically do slightly better than their peers. This benefit tends to dwindle after 2-3 generations by which point they're indistinguishable from US born citizens.

Which further makes my point that there's never a valid reason for why I should pay for the upkeep of foreigners illegally sneaking into the nation.

No I don't want to have a conversation with you.

That doesn't really surprise me. Once we strip away your attempts to paint yourself as morally superior and we focus on the cost vs benefit side of the discussion....it becomes rather clear there are no benefits, only costs.

You forgot to say what your position is on dealing with illegal immigration.
Focus on the employers that hire undocumented immigrants, they're the main source of the issue. The president has undocumented laborers working at his properties; he and others should pay a hefty fine for such actions. They commit crime because they know there are no repercussions for their actions.

I know this study didn't pop up in any liberal media sources last year....but take a look...

Yale Study Finds Twice as Many Undocumented Immigrants as Previous Estimates

About 22 million people are here illegally and suckling at the teat of your taxes. No one...liberal or conservative...argues that they are a net positive force on the economy. Estimates on their costs range from about 10-20 billion dollars from liberal sources to about 100-120 billion dollars from conservative sources.

That's a lot of money...a lot of money that could be used to help the poor and needy in our own nation.

One side of the discussion has attempted to do anything to stop the tide of poor flooding our southern border. They tried to enforce the laws...and liberals cried about that. Now they're trying to build a wall and increase border security...and the liberals don't want that either.

I get that a lot of people on the left claim they don't want open borders....but if you complain about the laws being enforced and you don't support increased security....what exactly are you proposing as a solution? Making these people into citizens doesn't do anything to fix the problem...it just encourages more people to come here.

Maybe you didn't notice...but the economy isn't growing fast enough to keep up, and we're having trouble providing a decent life for the people here.

Why is it that we never see this as a priority for the left?

They've been talking about that as a solution since I was a kid...and it doesn't matter how many Democrats are in office, it never happens. At this point, the only reasonable conclusion is that they don't really care.

No, I just don't wish to discuss this with you specifically.

Context is important.
What if the context is someone wearing a red hat with the words "Make America Great Again" while eating breakfast at a fast food establishment.

Well, you're not realistically going to deport 22 million people, for both practical and humanitarian reasons.

Therefore the only practical long-term solution, it seems to me, is to legalise some large fraction of the illegal immigrants currently in the US, while at the same time halting the inflow with a tougher border (legalising illegal immigrants without a tougher border would create a torrent of people bigger than most Americans can imagine).

However, it seems to me that both sides of US politics are united in dislike of such a compromise.

I wonder what the 60,000 homeless people in Los Angeles think about giving illegal immigrants entitlements?

And that's the thing. Entitlements for illegal immigrants are supported by America's wealthy, and resented by the white underclass. That's how Trump got elected.

Right. And in an attempt to bring this tread closer to the topic. It is upsetting when people are being unfairly labeled as racist bigots because they believe part of "Making America Great Again" is prioritizing the "tired, poor, and huddled" U.S. citizens in our own country over illegal non-citizens . I don't know of a single liberal who is willing to open their homes to a single homeless person, much less an illegal immigrant. I don't know of a single liberal who would be willing to take food away from their own children to give it to the "refugees" in Tijuana. Yet they demand that other people are forced to provide for them. If you complain, you're an "anti-immigrant bigot" just like any criticism of President Obama's policies during his 8 year administration makes you a racist.

I am telling you, if this keeps up there will be four years of Trump and when that happens I don't want to hear people crying about how racist this country is. We're not racist, we are just tired of being unfairly labeled as one. The sooner the left opens their eyes and figure that out the better. I cannot speak for all conservatives, but I can tell you that myself and many other conservatives I know are fed up. I am growing closer to the point where I will vote to reelect Trump regardless of who the DNC nominee just so I can see another post election meltdown. I know that is not a very charitable thing to say so I am asking God to help me to put the needs of the country over my desire to stick it to the leftists. But the left is not making it easy.

There hasn't been much focus or discussion about the vile Black Hebrews who trashed the Catholic school kids before any of this latest fake controversy started. With all of the focus by the Leftist media being on the kids, the media knows how bad it would look for the Left to show what actually happened.

Who is screeching?

I am merely pointing out that Trump is a self-righteous narcissistic bafoon.
That's screeching.
Families were not separated under Obama - that is the point.
I doubt if that's true.
On the other hand, often a kid is used to increase their chances, and they're not necessarily their biological kids.
There's child trafficking too.
Points to consider.

It was always a false news story meant to target Christianity. That's why it's been so slanted and edited.
