There is no condemnation about left-handedness in the scriptures that I am aware of. As a matter of fact, God once used a man for his purposes specifically because he was left-handed. Judges 3:12-30 God chose a left-handed man named Ehud to be one of Israel's judges and deal with an evil king by the name of Eglon.
Of course there may be portions of scripture which do indeed seem "absurd" from a human perspective, in which case it is better to yield to the One with higher understanding. God has said-
"For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways" (Is. 55:8)
Sometimes it is best to go along with Moses who said-
"He is the Rock, His work is perfect;
For all His ways are justice,
A God of truth and without injustice;
Righteous and upright is He." (Dt. 32:4)
Perhaps the fault lies with the person making the "absurd argument," not with the Bible. You may be aware that Satan used scripture in trying to tempt the Lord Jesus (Mt. 4). The fault did not lie with the scripture itself, but with the one who used it in an inappropriate manner.Umaro said:Yes, of course I realize that the article is false and a spoof, I'm an atheist, not an idiot. The point of it was to set up the next question. Mainly that if this absurd argument can be made using the bible, how can other seemingly absurd arguments be valid using exclusively the bible?
