How do you figure if a man is celibate and can not marry a women he will crave sex with children? Please explain this logic to me.

Your'e just full of ad hominem attacks eh? Now I'm stupid to think that the problem may arise from the fact the celebacy could be the problem? Paul says that "it is better to marry than to burn". Why does he say that? Because we are sexual creatures and it is better for us to marry, and have that release than to stay celebate and battle those sexual demons. I didnt say this, Paul did. Maybe I'm reading mroe into what he said than I should, but I dont see how I have.

He said it is better to be like him, celibate but if you can't, then marry- we do not condemn married clergy, it is a discipline we chose. It is not dogma and we are we basing our rule on Paul by believing it is better for cleric to be celibate than to marry.

But again, how do you get that men will crave sex with children if the can not marry a women? I just do not understand the association.

Celebacy isnt the only possible reason. I just cant think of any others, besides the fact that the church endorses sick men as clergy.
I never said it was exclusively a catholic problem. I said that the problem is worse in the catholic church.

And I am telling you it's not- it is only publicized more and I wonder why? If we weren't the true Church why would so many want to bring her down by exposing her sins while concealing theirs?

Child abuse is not more rampart in the church and the crime and sin of a cleric is no worse than one of a parent who will abuse their own children or a mother who will cover up for a molesting husband or boyfriend.

Not for the crime against the kid but for not reporting it to the police... if my kid was molested by a priest- you think I'm going to the bishop and not the cops?

Do you realize many kids did tell their parents and they didn’t act on it, why aren’t they at fault along with the bishops?

And do you realize married men do this to their kids and mom’s cover it up? This is not a Catholic Church problem it is a problem period in our world.

I agree, people shouldnt take bribes, and people should always go to the police, but you are just representing a small percentage of the cases and trying to make it the majority. It doesnt work that way.

Um . . . it this a trick question? I guess He does. I mean, we must truly be contrite for breaking our marriage commitment, but God doesn't despise sinners, He shows them mercy. He is less of a legislator and more of a Loving Counselor in my understanding of Him. You keep asking for proof of my postion, but how many acts of mercy do we read of in the Bible. How many people did Jesus stone, because by the laws of God it was the "right" thing to do? Christ looked sympathetcially to our weaknesses. I believe that says it all. It doen't give us license to sin, so grace and mercy can about, but it reassures us that in the midst of our sin, He can forgive us, if we honestly repent.
