I'll try to put it behind me, but this came up on this thread, although you all don't realize it. And I'm sitting here in tears.

Nevertheless, as painful as this topic is, I can see my way out. You are right, RD and M. Reps are like gifts, they shouldn't be used to demand things from people.

When I pray for people, I do it out of love.

I want to be able to rep the same way--out of kindness and love.

Well, now you know why someone who has posted on this thread is angry with me.

I don't think anyone is angry with you Ariel. I think it's more that there seems to be pressure and guilt being thrown around to conform to the way others want to do things around here. I say this NOT just from this thread. I say it from things I've been hearing about these issues for months now. This isn't the first, nor the last time these issues will come up.

We don't live in a perfect world. People will find something to complain about. When we had 20/10 reps people complained and said we should have more. Then is was 20/20 and SS were upset and felt they should have more as they as SS. So it became 40/20.

Now I hear people complaining because SS have 20 more reps then they do. There have been talks before about unlimited repping. There will always be something that someone will not like and complain about. It's human nature.

I know my heart and how I use my reps. I don't and wont feel guilty about anything I do with them. Nobody should about theirs either. I think everyone needs to take a step back and reflect on what is being said here and what this MB is all about. I love and care for all of you. It hurts me deeply to see anyone of you feeling hurt and in pain.

My reps are my own. Unless I agree to swap, I will no longer feel any obligation.

Second, I am not going to be manipulated by guilt. Like other giving or even ministry, my repping needs to be done with love, not because I have been manipulated.

I consider reps just like gifts. If I give you a gift it was mine to give. You don't have to repay a gift nor do you even have to acknowledge it. If you give me the gift of a rep, I appreciate it. Someday I hope to repay a gift for a gift but I don't feel obligated to do so.

I may not have made it more profound than you intended, I just wanted the focus to be put more like you say in your OP,...fellowship.
As long as we use them for different things, instead of just being top dog.

Reps have a multitude of purposes.
And what ever we use them for, for example...pushing someone to their next star, even if it their 100th star, ...saying welcome to a newbie...telling a friend hello....exchanging reps with others, for the intent of gaining rep points for both parties...telling someone you are praying for them...and just plain having fun.

I pray for those that have hang ups on reps, I did many months back, I praise God I don't now and pray I never will again
