Sorry, that isn't evidence, especially since you didn't claim anything about marriage rates but rather about the marriages of feminists. Please support that a feminist has been married 3 or 4 times on average.

Not to mention, even if you did claim that feminism was the cause of the rising divorce rate you would have to prove it is the factor that has caused the divorces. Instead, based on your chart, it is equally likely that the increase of the budget is just as likely a cause for the increase in abortion rates. Correlation does not equal causation.

I've had one (divorce)... then I remarried the man I divorced... does that nullify the divorce? (When we went to get the marriage licences for the 2nd marriage the clerk got all confused when she saw that both of us had a previous marriage ... to each other- I don't know why she was confused.. I know we're not the only couple to get back together after a divorce)

I don't know a lot of people who have been divorced 3 or 4 times, but my husband has been divorced 3x (2 previous wives, then me....) and he does identify as a feminist. ....

second wave feminism started around the 60s. As we can see in the chart this is when divorces started booming and skyrocketing. Feminism is a social disaster and sadly its taken a big toll on family, children and the dignity of women. Feminists impose tremendous pressure on traditional women by denigrating the role of a traditional housewife. Read some of Phyllis Schlafly's books to get the insight on what feminism is actually like these days.

Dr. Laura is nauseating, did she write that book after the Proper care and Feeding of Husbands? My husband is not an infant or a pet, and I prefer the professionals I get advice from have a degree in something other than physiology... a certificate in Marriage and Family Counseling doesn't cut it especially when it's inactive.

Well then your obviously not living in reality. It dosen't take a genuis to see the damage that feminism has caused to the traditional family household. If feminism really helped the divorce rates shoulda dropped, not increased. And now all it has left in its trails are 60 million unborn babys dead, thousands of broken familys and hurt children in single households, and kids being dumped in daycare without adequate attention from both parents.

Women used to not even have the RIGHT to divorce their husband prior to the fifties! unless they could PROVE in the court of law they were being beaten, raped, or mentally tortured, or abandoned, many women legally had no grounds to file for divorce. Proving infidelity is quite difficult. yet, men could file for divorce if they wanted, for almost any reason at all! prior to the fifties, it was men who could only initialize a divorce for the most part. Heck, women didn't ever have much more choice BUT to get married prior to the fifties; due to the rapidly growing educational system at the time, and the rapid growth of economy and job markets, they don't need to rely on a man to be the bread winner and to be the sole support a household; today a woman can do all of that perfectly and even admirably all by herself. Times have changed, and so have customs.

why I think the divorce rate went up? because women now know they don't NEED a man to be happy; they now have the choice of getting divorced if their man beats them or yells at them, or always tells them where their place in society is....

You'll actually be surprised to know many feminists are happily married.

Learn to read some actual history first, then may you'll understand why the feminist movement happened. I find it ironic that you talk about my supposed ignorance when you continue to display your ignorance.

Hey, you weren´t asked to post just some colourful graphic concerning divorce rates. You were asked to post a source for your claim that the average divorce rate of feminists is 3-4.

Given the rise since the 60s in the purchasing of refrigerators, I think we can safely conclude that fridge purchasing is the cause of the increased divorce rate.

"traditional" and "housewife" have nothing to do with each other. Being a "housewife" is hardly a traditional role for women.. unless you limit your tradition to a very small group of middle class women portrayed on TV during a specific period of contemporary history.

I'm going to blame spyshops... all those little gadgets that can make it REALLY easy and relatively cheap to prove just what one's hubby was truly doing when he claimed to be working overtime....
