Evolution of the gaps.Get ready for the answer........ Evolution! We are a social species and these behavorial characteristics evolved to help us survive and reproduce in a social setting.
Evolution of the gaps.
Christianity has been proven to exists, it's observable.Yes, but the difference is that CMBR has been proven to exist, its observable.
What I actually said was Christianity is evidence of the sixth sense (faith) just as CMBR is evidence of the Big-Bang: "For we walk by faith, not by sight." - 2 Cor 5:7.You have simply asserted that your sixth sense exists and that it is dependant on christianity. You still haven't provided any evidence for it.
I take it "God did it" isn't a subject you've ever heard of. "God did it" makes more sense.Doveaman:
Er, no.
I take it evolutionary psychology isn't a subject you've ever heard of.

Indeed. These things are humans. Suppose all humans die (a nuclear holocaust, anyone?) Much of animals survive. Your god would still be there. But no humans, would there still be love and compassion on this planet? I don't think so.
I don't buy the idea that without God there would be no love, compassion, truth or justice. Love and compassion are human qualities that only people with Antisocial Personality Disorder lack. Truth is the opposite of falsehood. Justice is determined by our courts.
OK.
faith is not a sense.Christianity has been proven to exists, it's observable.

I don't think you have a pet.Indeed. These things are humans. Suppose all humans die (a nuclear holocaust, anyone?) Much of animals survive. Your god would still be there. But no humans, would there still be love and compassion on this planet? I don't think so.
I see what you're trying to say here, but it doesn't really hold up. If we are only a series of chemical reactions, these chemical reactions control us we wouldn't control them. This means that any act done by a man is just his own physiological chemistry makeup compelling him to do whatever.
There couldn't be any choice, its just how he/she is.
Our brain acts before we've registered that we've made a choice, mind.
Also, free will is somewhat untenable when you factor in a deity who is omniscient.
Why couldn't we control them? Obviously we do (for the most part, those with lack of impulse control are usually labeled as socio/psychopathic). Again, human behavior is well studied and understood. Every action, right or wrong, can be explained, no appeal to the supernatural needed.I see what you're trying to say here, but it doesn't really hold up. Knowing a choice one will make and forcing them to make that choice are two different things.
This ^^But knowing the choice someone will make removes the possibility that they will make a different choice. So the choice is an illusion to the maker of that choice if another entity know the choice they will make.
Like you would know.faith is not a sense.
Even better. The CMBR was preditcted before it was observed by George Gamow. He even calculated a value for it very close to the measured value (calculated 5K, observed 2.7K)

Marcus
Like you would know.
"There is no firm agreement among neurologists as to the number of senses because of differing definitions of what constitutes a sense." - Same Source
You showed that they won't make a different choice, but you haven't shown why the person isn't making a choice. But knowing the choice someone will make removes the possibility that they will make a different choice. So the choice is an illusion to the maker of that choice if another entity know the choice they will make.
