Context. If someone quotes part of the verse that says 'the fool hath said in his heart, there is no God' and renders it 'there is no God' then we have one party deliberatly deceiving. To try and show a more full and honest knowledge is not claiming to be some 100% know it all. It is respecting fact and truth. So called science does not do that.

Because science is being honest. We can never know something with absolute certainty, to claim such would be dishonest.

Well if science did not know something...for example that the verse that said there is no God, started with the fool hath said---they ought to shut up and listen to those that know...no?

Let's compare your opinion to God's.

2Pe 1:19 -We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

Eph 1:18 -The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

1Jo 5:13 -These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

1Jo 5:20 -And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

UNLIKE the educated men of this world who do not and cannot know.

2Ti 3:7 -Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

So, no, science is not about knowing! It never was and never will be.

Says you. However, I suspect free will can work with God's will quite nicely. For example, let's say we are in heaven...you want to go either to pluto, or to Russia and in both places there is something wonderful to do. You chose one place. Seems to me that is free will. Now if you had no will, you might just go whervever your programmer wanted.

Let's say we're in heaven... you see the guy who used to give you atomic wedgies back in third grade. There is no pain in heaven, but you still want to go over and smack the taste out of his mouth. You choose to do so.

Dizredux Grady Sigh, did you read what I wrote? Your response had nothing to do with what I said. You responded to something very different to what I posted. This illustrates the point I am trying to make.

You have got to be kidding! Are you too lazy to look up my post *in the same thread*?

Now I think I understand why you don't bother to read the things your respond to.

You are projecting. Why do you think God works on us in this life if we are His, and saved?

This might not be the opinion of god. I know this might be hard for you to consider, but even by your own beliefs you have to take the word of ancient men that these are inspired by a deity, and that they represent the ideals of said deity accurately. Given how flawed people can be, why should you or I expect such a text to accurately depict the will of what is supposed to be such a complex and powerful being? Worse still, people who weren't the authors at any point in time could have purposely have changed the words to suit their personal ideals, and don't forget general translation errors. There is a decent chance that many biblical texts were lost over the years as well, the whole thing could be incomplete.

No chance involved if there is a God. Since Jesus gave us His words, and promised to bring to remembrance what He said to His apostles, we do have God's word. We also have the old testament which Jesus affirmed, the law and the prophets..Daniel, Moses etc.

Much of the old testament was His words directly also, and even the ten commandments were written directly by God!

Thomas Jefferson made his own version of the New Testament which edited out all the miracles, without any consequence. In fact, you can still order a Jefferson bible online if you want. God. Doesn't. Stop. People. From. Messing. With. Scripture.

If god stopped people from warping biblical stuff, I am pretty sure the Book of Mormon wouldn't have been tolerated (it plagerizes quite a bit from the bible, beyond having its own weird and highly offensive story. Sorry Mormons, but I just can't get over some of the racist bits).

I'm curious why anyone would bother dating the rocks on a pyramid, anyway. What could you possibly learn of any real interest from that?

Rocks can't be dated. Only organic material can have "best guess" dates attached.
If you go the the "Mummies" traveling exhibit, you'll find scientists were unable to date
any of the mummies unless they had written records for them.

The evidence points to a lack of any alterations from the first writing. Even the occasional typo's found had little effect on the sentences they were found in.

The absolute age of the rocks can be dated but not the age they were when they were used in the pyramids.
