False. Nothing random about the temple specifically being prophesied to be destroyed not a stone upon another left.

Your claim that it was written after the fact also falls by the wayside here as the dates don't support you there.

The temple took over 80 years to build. The leader of the armies apparently was in a frenzy to stop his men FROM destroying it! They apprently disobeyed him according to John MacArthur. Of course the Jews wou

ld never have wanted it destroyed so no one could have done as you again foolishly and falsely claim!

Utter nonsense. Prophesy any specific person at all you know will rise from the dead! See how you do! I don't care if it would benefit them, it is not going to happen. The bible did happen. Delirious denial will get you nowhere.

You embarrass yourself here.

The same people had been prophesied to rebuild that temple after a previous prophesied destruction! They did, and boy did they spend time and effort on it.
Oh brother! You are embarrassing yourself.

Hopefully it is a learning experience for you.

Not one source here. If you are so correct, please give evidence that these events occurred that isn't the bible.

The bible is the record God gave man. There are records of Israel in the past and Jerusalem etc. There are records of what nations came after each other. What do you think the delirious doubters do? They try to say the prophesy is so right on that it must have been written after the fact! That doesn't work. We have validations of some ancient Scripture and it is known to be of a certain date.

Will you call Peter a liar? The gospels tell us Jesus prophesied that Peter would deny Christ three times before the [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] crowed. This was verified by other apostles also. You want something out of the bible this happened!!!? That is silly and not reasonable.

The bible is the record God gave man.

If it was, everybody would read it and come up with the same interpretation. Unfortunately for you, that is not the case. The Bible has approximately 7 billion different interpretations, therefore it cannot be a record of anything, especially not a record left by a perfect divine being.

Will you call Peter a liar?

News flash: Peter didn't write any gospel in the Bible. The one the he wrote (or better, the one that was attributed to him) was removed from the bible by the Catholic church centuries ago.

There are tales describing Paul Bunyan where it says that he had a blue ox named Babe. Sure enough, in those same stories it says that the ox's name was Babe. Therefore, Paul Bunyan was real.

That is the level of nonsense that you have convinced yourself with.

No. He proved otherwise. Did Pilate read it and come up with the same interpretation? Herod? Satan? Judas?

It is not what is not understood about the bible that is the cause of men hating it, it is what is understood.

He wrote books in the bible. Not the gospels. The issue was about some people calling Peter a liar, not about what some church did.

Those who try to equate God with fables show themselves to be unable to distinguish truth from lies.

Still no outside sources. No, I am not calling Peter a liar, I highly doubt he was personally involved in any of the biblical writings. Also, in some verses it says the [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] crowed twice, not particularly consistent. But anyways, while many people weren't literate, if such amazing events really happened, it is highly improbable only 1 text would record it. Let alone have this happen for dozens of improbable and amazing events.

Are you talking about Peter the fisherman? fishermen in those days would never have been able or needed to read or write or had the wherewithal to learn, it's unlikely he even knew more than a couple of people who could and it's also unlikely they would have even been seen talking to him.

Ummm.....isn't the whole point that Peter WAS a liar...!?

No, the point is that Peter was not a liar and was inspired of God and had received the Holy Ghost.

Didn't he lie when he said he wouldn't deny knowing Jesus...and then did so......??

God doesn't use perfect people. When He does use them after training is over, you can bet your life the truth of God is in what He inspires them to say.

Ac 4:13 -Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

Joh 7:15 - And the Jews marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned? With God all things are possible.

Your personal incredulity is not based on any fact...just snide surmising.

Facts and reality must really rip you apart, where was I being snide? you call on miracles and then have the nerve to say I'm snide, FACT...Peter (if he even existed) was an ignorant fisherman so there is no way he could ever have written a book.

Facts and reality must be either outright ignored by fundamentalists, or a story made up to explain them away.

This requires a constant vigilance to ward off the nasty realities of the world and I can not imagine it is all to pleasant to have to deal with on a constant basis.

Say hello to the second law of the HI Theory. Never underestimate the power of the .

Yes, denial, the most rudimentary defense mechanism and quite effective.

The more denial is used though, the more inner turmoil is developed (through cognitive dissonance) which then requires even stronger denial to be applied to ward off the same. It is really a vicious cycle, with the denial basically becoming an opiate that they are addicted to.

Hence the third law, refutation is futile.

I just find observing the behavior fascinating, as a psychology buff. I have two friends who are psychologists and they visit this site every now and again and tell me their impressions over a couple of beers.
