That is not what I said. Is the above what you believe?

You keep focusing on faith more than God. True faith is spiritual that you have FAITH in God's sovereign. Working on faith that will make you fail and collapse into this sinful (flesh) world. Christians fail by formalizing faith in measure (works) because true Christian life means sanctifying effects of cross carrying and practical obedience. Perseverance come to test the strength of our faith because they assist us in the knowledge of our own faith. (Genesis 22:1-18, Malachi 3:3-4, 1 Peter 1:6-9).

The measure of faith given to every believer is not the same as the gift of Faith, and the Working of Miracles.
I have somewhat to say about those who only preach faith
I used to read everything I could find on faith. I listened to the television faith preachers
and soon discovered that instead of it building my faith up, my faith was actually being torn down.
I do have faith but it takes the presence of the Holy Spirit working thorugh the Spiritual Gifts of Faith and Working of Miracles to make a person whole as was revealed to me when I sought answers to the questions posed in this topic.

You either accept what the Holy Spirit revealed or not accept it.
It is not up to me to force anyone to believe it.

I know the Holy Spirit is working within me and my faith through God's grace. Grace is the source of our strong faith. Flesh Faith produces fear to motivate them to do 'works" (or unbelief) while Spirit produces faith.

If you allow other people to tear down your faith which means your faith being lead by your own flesh's efforts? Including of trying to get healed which may not be in God's will.

True faith being lead by the Holy Spirit and never been torn down, even by BAD theologies.

The flesh has no faith in G-d. The flesh and the Spirit are at enmity.
The spirit man grows in faith as the flesh grows weaker..

The only way our faith grows is to be always spirit-filled. God wants us to be Spirit-filled that God's loving desire that we should reflect His own holiness and goodness, NOT our own goodness. In Ephesians 5:18 where the present tense of the verb in Greek means: "Keep on being filled with the Spirit".

In this day and age with many a so-called “Spirit-filled” Christians languishing in lukewarm faith formalism (i.e. faith works) where spiritual-filled gifts are used for self-served purposes rather than God's glory.

I haven't met any spirit indwelt believers who do those things you described.
Once given the Baptism of the Holy Spirit we are able to operate in the Gifts
as the Holy Spirit wills. The Gifts are not always present but the indwelling of the Holy Spirit is.
We grow and are changed from Glory to Glory.
The Gifts are for the Glorification of Yeshua.

It does not begin in water baptism. It begins in spiritual baptism which is salvation. Our spiritual capacity is our charisma which is a gift of God's grace. When we are saved, we are set to go into heaven (even without water baptism) because God sees Christ through the Holy Spirit in us. Spirit indwells us. When you are filled with the Holy Spirit, then Jesus through His GRACE just flows out of you. According to the Greek word charisma, we have received grace gifts. We are free in God's grace and empowered by the Holy Spirit to do right, to look at these others in a condescending way.

I always wondered why God didn't heal amputees. We certainly prayed for my baby brother for years. At the age of two, he had part of his foot and all of his toes on one leg amputated. His leg was sewed back on but the foot and toes laid in our front yard under the lawn mower and were buried by the next door neighbor. We believed it was possible for God to heal my brother and give him new toes and a foot even a new leg up into his hip but God has not done so. I guess HE doesn't take His orders from me or others.

I said it once and i'll say it again.

he DOES heal amputees. in many ways. even if it isn't physically, trust me. and healing amputees physically? yes, that too. (salamanders!!) :D :D :D
but on the miracles thing. why does it have to be something as big as moving a mountain for it to be a miracle?? i know many miracles that happen around me. my grandmother for example. she was sick. with a hole in her heart. and she had an aneurism in her brain. when she went back to the doctors office, they said she was completely healed. and they have no idea why or how. my mother. she has 8 kids that live with her. its a miracle every day that she finds the patience and the money to feed them and deal with them. my sister. she has no common sense but god takes care of her. he got her a job, and into college, and he helped her and me survive a serious car crash without a scratch. so just because you don't think of it as a miracle, doesn't mean that someone else doesn't. :D

and so, even if that person does not look to you like they have been healed, does not mean that to them they are not healed. you should keep your eyes open to more than just physical things!

Amputees are past the point of needing a healing. They need a Divine miracle from G-d Himself. They are not sick.
Jesus said it is better to cut off an offending member(body part) and enter into life maimed
than to have one's whole body cast into hell. (paraphrasing)

(Matt. 5:29-30)
29"If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and throw it away; it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell.
30And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away; it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body go into hell." (Matt. 5:29-30)

There's a difference between physical healing and eternal life. I know many amputees who are saved, yet, not healed.

Oh, I thought we were speaking in generalities (;)), but I know of amputees that aren't saved. Actually I don't know of a single amputee that is saved, so by my anecdotal evidence, God doesn't save them. So can we say that anecdotal evidence isn't the criteria for measuring truth?

My Dad has a finger missing from an accident thirty years ago and a former member of a church I pastored, a Viet Nam vet, had a missing leg. Christian amputees even have a website: http://www.castministries.org/
