Commonly this complaint comes from people who don't do any community work of their own and wish some entity did all the compassion work for them. Because people who do, rarely have this complaint.
Let the weak die so there is more food for me.
That's what I learned in biology class.
I don't know how more real world it needs to be.

Are you abandoning Darwin now?
survival of the fittest (biology) -- Britannica Online Encyclopedia
Well no i dont think I mean that sort of belief, or i dont think belief in Australia is an example of an unfounded one.
There is after all a good deal of data, and no contrary evidence.
But then i guess im quibbling, and basically agree.
or maybe a creationist would like to say why zero data is good enough.
it does seem like if it were true there outta be lots of data...
Nope.
If Creation took place just as the Bible says...there would be no trace of it.
Not one little bit.
Let me refer back to the scriptures about how God's power has "Created" stuff:
Jesus creates aged wine
Jesus created aged eyes
Jesus creates healed limbs
Jesus creates aged eyes from scratch
SO....according to the scriptures, God's intervention
in the world leaves no traces. Other than the result.
It's not that I wish God ddid ALL the compassion work, it would just be nice if He did any.
People who do, rarely have this complaint.
If fact, I have never heard a charitable person complain that
others don't do more. It's just not in their nature I guess.

I'm assuming you horribly failed biology?
"For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen.. so that men are without excuse."
You know, the visible invisible qualities
thought is not really the right word. Its actually just a contradiction that one ends up with when trying to use emotional language without thinking about.I know, it takes some thought.
Anti-creationists are the "least scientific", because creationism can't be tested?
I'm not accusing others of not doing enough, I'm accusing God of not doing enough...
Because biology doesn't teach survival of the fittest?
Even with much of Darwin shown to be wrong
the least fit for the environment die slow agonizing
deaths from starvation. Is there a newer version
of natural selection? A Karl Marx version maybe?
Biology class isn't trying to tell us that there is a God who has our best interests at heart. Darwin himself was appalled by the cruelty of nature.
Well, if it's not you putting out some effort, then your blaming other people or even God. I get it.
It's not your fault.
Somebody or something else is to blame. It can't be you.
I've got news for you.
God works after you put your trust completely in Him and not before.
I am sorry that He works that way, but He does a lot more than one fingers worth.
But don't take my word for it.
The least fit don't always die slow agonizing deaths.
At least believers have a better understanding of the past and the future to help us cope and not kill ourselves.
But we've established that God is non-interventionist. The phenomenal amount of pain, suffering and cruelty in the world carries on without God raising a finger. That is not disputed. So why does anyone imagine God is the least bit concerned about them when, as can be shown, He has never intervened to help anyone else?
I don't wish your god did all the compassion work, it would just be nice if he did any.
