  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I need not disprove anything that is not proven. Now I could be wrong on this point. Perhaps there is real solid evidence for a precise hour and day of some eclipse long before Christ came to earth. Until someone produces it though, you are groping in the dark.

But you DO need to at least provide evidence - testable and verifiable evidence - when you make claims that the laws of the universe are different elsewhere.

And yet you are completely incapable of doing so.

I don't want to get into silliness with a married lady...sorry.

PMSL! What exactly do you think is going to happen? What does me being married have to do with anything? Do you think you're going to win me over, and you don't want to be silly because you're worried that I might actually be tempted? HA!

What good is to propose an alternate viewpoint that explains what we see without Fairie Dust if you won't accept the scientific data as we know it from over 200+ years of experimentation with plasma in a universe 99% plasma?

http://www.plasma-universe.com/Galaxy_formation

So in a universe 99% plasma you still choose to ignore theories by Plasma Physicists that explain it better than any existing theory. Even when they refuse to treat plasma in existing cosmology like any scientist in any plasma laboratory treats it???

http://plazmauniverzum.hu/sites/plazmauniverzum.hu/files/Peratt86TPS-I.pdf

http://www.plasmauniverse.info/downloadsCosmo/Peratt86TPS-II.pdf

All the while ignoring those forces even when it explains the earth's rotation as well.

http://www.livescience.com/39780-magnetic-field-pushes-earth-core.html

I'm asking myself the very same thing? What good is to propose an alternate viewpoint that explains what we see without Fairie Dust if you won't accept the scientific data as we know it from over 200+ years of experimentation with plasma in a universe 99% plasma?

You wont even accept a scientific theory that works better than yours and requires no ad-hoc assumptions. Just the forces we see all around us everywhere. So how does one remove those View-Masters and get you to see???

Look, the vast majority of scientists who actually study the universe know, I think, more then you and more than me about these things. So if they think that plasma universe stuff is bunk, I'm going to side with them. Don't come and start telling me that a bunch of scientists with a different idea must be right when they can't even convince the people who actually understand this stuff.

Hilarious.

Here are a few fibs from your link, or at least claims you will not be proving as any sort of fact here.

"liquid outer core— composed of a molten mix of iron and nickel ---

The Earth's magnetic field — created by the convection of hot liquid metal within the outer core "

Your claim of 4 billion years is also nonsense. You mistake is the usual one, trusting science knew about creation. No. No. No.

That's mainstreams Fairie Dust of liquid cores spinning against friction as a perpetual motion machine - not mine. You are confused as usual. The earth's magnetic field is created by those currents we detect and mainstream ignores so they must add that Fairie Dust.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birkeland_current
"Auroral Birkeland currents carry about 100,000 amperes during quiet times and more than 1 million amperes during geomagnetically disturbed times"

The heat in the core is also supplied by that same current.

"Induction heating is the process of heating an electrically conducting object (usually a metal) by electromagnetic induction, through heat generated in the object by eddy currents (also called Foucault currents)... The eddy currents flowing through the resistance of the material heat it by Joule heating.... An important feature of the induction heating process is that the heat is generated inside the object itself, instead of by an external heat source via heat conduction."

Only mainstream and you require Fairie Dust - which is why you have no explanation for why the earth rotates.

But you DO need to at least provide evidence - testable and verifiable evidence - when you make claims that the laws of the universe are different elsewhere.

You have testable and verifiable evidence that the laws of physics are different elsewhere - you just ignore it.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-inertial_reference_frame

"The laws of motion in non-inertial frames do not take the simple form they do in inertial frames, and the laws vary from frame to frame depending on the acceleration."

So because you ignore those non-inertial frames in a universe you claim is increasing in acceleration - you require 96% ad-hoc assumptions (Fairie Dust) to force fit the same physics to those differently accelerating frames. The very fact that you must perform transforms for every frame but this one should have told you those laws of physics are not the same. You confuse "proportionality" due to energy content as being the "same."

Its one of the most verified theory in physics - yet you ignore it.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special_relativity

"As of today, special relativity is the most accurate model of motion at any speed."

E told you this - but you have ignored him while claiming to follow his theory.

"Special principle of relativity: If a system of coordinates K is chosen so that, in relation to it, physical laws hold good in their simplest form, the same laws hold good in relation to any other system of coordinates K' moving in uniform translation relatively to K."

But only the galaxies within the local group are moving in the same uniform translation relatively to this galaxy. All other galaxies are receding at an increasing acceleration and are non-inertial frames with respect to the local group of galaxies.

So the question which must be asked is why you are ignoring that the laws of physics vary depending on a frames acceleration in a universe you claim is increasing in acceleration?????

Sure they do - that's why they propose Fairie Dust when it isn't needed when we treat plasma like plasma - right? There is simply too much money involved in the search for Fairie Dust. One can continue to look for nothing and get paid for it. And then pat each other on the back when nothing is found. Oh the people that know understand alright - there is a difference between understanding and refusing to admit that you are no longer an expert in the proper fields. That your entire field of study would become useless - years of education become worthless - papers submitted voided.

If that's your only excuse for ignoring 200+ years of laboratory experiments with plasma it's no wonder why pseudo-scientists keep up with the Fairie Dust - because you are still willing to give them your money for fake science.

Its sad that you must ignore 200+ years of how plasma behaves in a universe 99% plasma. Just sad. Truly, truly sad when experimental data is ignored in favor of ad-hoc assumptions. Just keep adding those epicycles upon epicycles - believing as they did that it actually explains anything.

We know when we are right when the only comeback you have is to use the phrase "fairy dust".

No, you know I am right when the only comeback you have is no science whatsoever to defend your claims, but to complain about word usage when it comes to those Fabricated Ad-hoc Inventions Repeatedly Invoked in Effort to Defend Untenable Scientific Theory.

Counter with science if you have any - claims are a dime a dozen and not worth a penny each.

Counter the science with science - but you won't - because you can't.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-inertial_reference_frame

"The laws of motion in non-inertial frames do not take the simple form they do in inertial frames, and the laws vary from frame to frame depending on the acceleration."

So I predict nothing more than claims and ad-hominem attacks will be the reply.

So not only are you completely incapable of explaining anything with your viewpoint, you seem to think that you should not be required to.
Never met anyone yet that could requite Jesus to explain details of the spiritual and creation that are above man's ways and thoughts. Good luck with that.

You're the one claiming it is different. Why don't you explain to us how it was different.
The effects of the different nature are known and recorded to some extent. That doesn't happen to be enough to help manscience get out of the little fishbowl temporal prison God put him in though. You can know much of what God did, but not all the details of how. The same applies to miracles in this present day. We can see many happened, but we do not know how. All science knows is this present nature and laws and the physical only.

Personal experience is meaningless.
False...LIFE is a personal experience for each person on earth!

We have given you the science, and all you can do is call it fairy dust, as if that somehow makes it go away.

What science? Null results?????

"So I predict nothing more than claims and ad-hominem attacks will be the reply."

Prediction confirmed.

The evidence for a future nature is in the future and likewise for the past nature, one would need to be there. Science is here. Only here. Pitiful. They talk big, but are so very very small.

Whoopee do.

The heat in the core is also supplied by that same current.
Ah..gottcha! You claimed a hot core. The seismic waves don't tell us that...what does!!?

"Induction heating is the process of heating an electrically conducting object (usually a metal) by electromagnetic induction, through heat generated in the object by eddy currents (also called Foucault currents)... The eddy currents flowing through the resistance of the material heat it by Joule heating.... You swallowed the fable about a hot core and accept that, but try to explain it another way. No?

Only mainstream and you require Fairie Dust -
OK, it's official, you wore out that word. Find another one!

which is why you have no explanation for why the earth rotates.
God made it rotate. This is news??

That describes something which is nowhere close to what Dad is talking about. And those laws are always going to be imperceptibly close to our laws except in cases of either extreme gravitation or extreme speed.

SO don't bring this up as an argument to support dad. There's nothing in there that would allow for differing rates of radioactive decay, or extreme long lives in humans.

Okay then. If your personal experience that God is real is evidence that God exists, then my personal experience that God is NOT real is evidence that he doesn't exist.

And since the people with personal experience that Christianity is wrong far outnumber the people with personal experience that Christianity is right, it would seem that Christianity is proven false by argument from popularity.

I like this game. Much easier to win when you can use logical fallacies the way you do. I might keep it up (since you obviously have little desire to have a rational discussion).

What a shame that the past leaves no traces in the present...

Oh well. Since you only read the Bible in the past, not the present (unless you are reading it at this exact moment, which you can't be, because you are reading my post, and last I checked my posts are not the Bible), so your knowledge about the past can't be applied to the present. Jesus made claims and little you and science can't say diddly squat about it.

Not in any verifiable way.
Of course not as far as clueless science goes. They have no ability to verify anything anywhere or anytime out of the present state.

Isn't it funny how the miracles today are nothing like the miracles in the Bible?
Yes they are. Where you been? I have seen strange stuff.

Where are the parting seas, the dead coming back to life, amputees growing new limbs?
Forgiveness of sins was always far greater than the Barnum and Bailey show stuff. I grew a new heart! My eyes were blind but now see! There are gifts of the spirit that Christians have that are out of this world! Some of us know stuff magically, and pray for healings, and have deep wisdom from God, and have ability to teach, and help folks etc etc. God's gifts and workings through us change with the times as needed. Same Spirit.

Okay then. If your personal experience that God is real is evidence that God exists, then my personal experience that God is NOT real is evidence that he doesn't exist.
Most folks that God sought out and found and saved had that same experience before He got to us!
And since the people with personal experience that Christianity is wrong far outnumber the people with personal experience that Christianity is right, it would seem that Christianity is proven false by argument from popularity.
Not at all. People don't get a vote as to whether Jesus will return to earth and rule. What is important is that we all get a real opportunity to believe and know Jesus. Those that prefer darkness and death have chosen their path. The paths do not change when more people walk over one or the other.
I like this game. Much easier to win when you can use logical fallacies the way you do. I might keep it up (since you obviously have little desire to have a rational discussion).
Your attempt at rational discussion was to talk about little thingies smashing into each other and causing the earth to rotate or some such...right? 'A lot of imaginary little teensy thingies eventually caused momentum and made the earth rotate'!! Nice fable.

Only as far as the abilities of science to discern the traces goes. Scripture gives us lots of traces of the past. Don't blame us.

I never read the bible 4500 years ago. That was likely roughly when any state change happened, not recently when we read stuff.

The enlightened and informed side beckons....come one...come all.

Yeah, it's all just a big conspiracy, isn't it.

A conspiracy is your strawman - I don't think I ever said such a thing. If you think ego's are a conspiracy then it just shows you your desperation to now throw conspiracy theories into the mix in order to distract from the science.

No one is ignoring the truth about why the earth rotates but you - the scientists are indeed theorizing on it's true cause - yet for some reason you want to argue against the scientists that you claim you support?

http://www.livescience.com/39780-magnetic-field-pushes-earth-core.html

Ahhh - because they are not theorizing Fairie Dust but actual laboratory tested forces instead of supporting null results.

I understand. I understand your reluctance to put down the View-Masster, because if you did for that brief flash of time you would have to actually "see."

Do those excuses sound as lame to you as well in the back of your mind for ignoring the science?
