Then God should have made Jesus asexual and aromantic.
Thats would then deny an important aspect of Christs humanness. Then this would undermine Him being a human that we can relate to. Then the whole Trinity is messed up.
God should make all those he calls to be single asexual and aromantic, and all those he calls to get married heterosexual and heteroromantic.
Ok I guess. But then you could start saying that about everything humans suffer with. Some people have OCD and do things they don't want to do and suffer immencely. Others have addiction inclinations or find it hard to socialise or whatever. So why not negate it all. If a person feels uncomfortable or disorientated then why do God make all those not that way.
I don't know what it ends up this way and it may not be God but a fallen world that messes everyone up. I think evewryone has their cross as a Christian in various ways.
Don't you think? The only purpose of sexuality is to have sex, right? If a heterosexual person doesn't get married, then sexual desire is completely unused.
No I don't think sex is just for sex. God primarily created such for creating life. Thats its primary function. Of course that means an intimate relationship. Just the very act of sex is an intimate thing between two people. So theres the courting and development of that relationship before hand.
But you will find even in nature and with all the crazy stuff we think is animalistic. Everything seems to be about reproducing life to carry on the species. The game of romance and courting is all geared around this fundementally.
So when people say sex is just sex I think this is a misrepresentation the world makes because they reject Gods creation of sex. Its a worlds version and if theres anything thats going to do your head in is trying to live to the expectations of the world on this. They have a terrible track record. Practically destroyed marriage, relationships perse and families and society by extension.
Apparently being involuntarily single is a curse of sin, per Genesis 2:18.
Hum, lots of things are said to be a curse of the fall. In some ways life itself became suffering and a burden. Even creation groans for Christs return.
Theres lots of things that people are cursed with. What happens to a couple where say one loses the ability for sex. Yeah there are other ways. But they are forever denied the full expression.
Or what about someone who loses their sight or legs, or is mentally disabled and the wife or family have to sacrifice their lives to support them. Missing out on a full life themselves.
I am not going to say its easy and everyone should just soldier on. Its hard and unfair at times. All I know is that God said he will lighten this burden and I cannot see any solution that the world will offer anything better.
Sometimes I think these things happen when you least expect it. Sometimes its just socialising or getting to know people generally to fill that gap of connecting with others. Then this can lead to an unexpected connection with someone.
Or maybe even online connections to start which can develop a friendship and then maybe a relatiohsip. Or even getting involved in helping others can fill the gap a bit and may lead to meeting someone. It never comes from not establishings some basis for it to happen.
All I know is fixating on it too much like anything it then controls you and causes the very problem you are trying to avoid.
