Why does god wait?

Ok, someone that agrees with the statement. Why would he wait in an enviorment that has nothing to wait on? That's similar to saying "Eh, not now...."

THE CONCEPT OF THIS ASTONISHING GOD!!!

Hi again Ymeg!

The God you're talking about is infinitely powerful and all-knowing and exists in eternity - which is something we can have only a quite limited understanding of (tho enough of an understanding).

Nor can we get anywhere near fully understanding Him - but trust me, we sure CAN understand enough!

As GOD, He is IN CHARGE of the whole she-bang. okay!!! He comes and goes as He wishes. He decides what will happen when. So for Him 'why would he wait' is an invalid (and irrelevant) question - if you see what I mean.

Until you can grab some real UNDERSTANDING of God, then you won't really get anywhere with this.

If you truly want more like this, please ask (very few ever do BTW).

Bless you, Ymeg!

An all powerful god would not wait for the perfect time in an non variable environment because there is nothing changing.
This presumes there was a perfect time. Maybe it was just a time of choice.

Or He made a choice to insert a linear time frame. Maybe the linear time exists spatially as a floater within non-linear, non-spatial time.
Dimensionality within nondimensionality.

As I've read it there's nothing whatsoever that God has revealed to us to indicate that where god 'lives' there's anything like the 'time' we know and experience. Just the reverse in fact. We do not and cannot understand eternity! It may be some sort of 'never-ending present'. But we just don't know.

Speculation about it is futile - and certainly not where our focus needs to be. And to use 'time' in a question about God has no meaning, or no useful meaning anyway.

Any more questions, Ymeg?

Very best wishes!

New information is revealed every day, but it has taken thousands of years for us to get to the level of understanding we're at now. We don't need to stop wondering, but it's definitely out of our jurisdiction.

Your god has been around forever. This means there was infinite time from the earths creation and all time he was existent. An all powerful god would not wait for the perfect time in an non variable environment because there is nothing changing.

This can also be applied to the creation of angles.
HI,
God the Creator does wait, but only relative to our experience but not relative to His own. He is currently at all of our tomorrows right now in His own eternally conscious moment, but delays actions towards us relative to time. Such a Being cannot possibly be overcome, outwitted or defeated in His eternal intent in any way. To oppose Him is the height of absurdity while to ally oneself with Him opens up an infinity of delightful possibilities.

Being all-present - time means little-to-nothing to God.

Who says God waiting for something? When the time had full come...ie...God built up creation to a climaxitic moment, Jesus became flesh to redemn and restore humanity. Likewise, during this time, we pariticipate in that process until this time has full come and the marriage of Jesus and the restored humanity will take place which will lead to the next age...
