Split Rock
Conflation of Blathers
You assume everyone reveres scientific evidence the way you do. That's not the case. Your standard isn't the standard of everyone else, even if you want it to be.
But its not just the science of biology, astronomy and geology. Its the history of literature in the Near East and the study of early cultures as well. All of this points to the early chapters of GEN being mostly allegorical. You have no problem "revering scientific evidence" when you want to travel across the country, or watch a live event on TV occurring in Europe, or need an operation. Why do you stop "revering scientific evidence" when it comes to the origin of our world and our species, or the interpretation of a book written long before your own time?
