No, we can't go back to that home. We can only go forward to the Kingdom of God promised us by Christ and the surety of His sacrifice.Do you know THE WAY back to our FIRST HOME then?
No. We are going back to that HOME. It's why THE WAY was blocked until the ONE who would come would open THE WAY back so that we may eat of THE TREE OF LIFENo, we can't go back to that home. We can only go forward to the Kingdom of God promised us by Christ and the surety of His sacrifice.
Do you mind telling us again what was your interpretation
An allegory pointing to who
Where does the savior fit in this?My view is that it is an allegory showing that God ultimately created everything. I don't have to believe in a literal garden or a talking snake to believe that God created the heavens and the earth.
So, why do these people seem to feel that they have the right to be rude to others?
Well, why not? The scriptures teach that Jesus took on human form. Why would you expect that He would not also share in human weakness. In this respect, I think the overall picture we get from Paul and the gospels is that Jesus indeed "shared" in our humanity and, by implication, our weaknesses.
Do you believe Jesus knew about general relativity?
Do you believe Jesus knew that the sun is 93 million miles from the Earth?
Do you believe Jesus knew everything about the human genome?
In the OP I asked the following and specifically asked people to remain on topic:Where does the savior fit in this?

Because people like good stories to convey such messages rather than 100% accurate factual treatises--especially when the stories might have to survive in oral tradition for a time before being transcribed,Then what would be the point of all the detail if that were a fact? Why not just say God created everything and be done with it? Your views are up to you but they don't make a lot of sense.
Is the truth of JESUS hidden in GOD's WORD?In the OP I asked the following and specifically asked people to remain on topic:
1) Is a belief in a literal interpretation of Genesis necessary for salvation?
2) If a literal reading of Genesis 1 and 2 is required, is a literal reading of Mark 14, Matthew 26 and Luke 22 ("this is my body...") also required? Why or why not?
3) If the Genesis creation accounts are not open to interpretation, what areas of scripture are open to interpretation?
The Scriptures clearly declare that Jesus's knowledge was limited - the Son does not know the time of the Second coming. So there can be no debate; if only the Father knows the time of Jesus's return, Jesus knowledge is incomplete. So perhaps He did not know that humans arose via evolution, and that therefore the creation account is a myth.It would be interesting to have read such discourse if it existed, but the Bible didn't refer to it, accordingly it must not have been relevant... and so neither would my opinion be in the matter. Do you believe Jesus knew how to save your soul from eternal damnation?
Biblically, He does not know all things; He does not know the time of the second coming.Yes
The LORD over all things created should know all things
Yet HE knows the signs just before it and tells us to watch for themBiblically, He does not know all things; He does not know the time of the second coming.

No doubt you do. I take you to be some sort of Evangelical Protestant, a child of post-Enlightenment rationalism, and would expect nothing else from you. But it is perhaps ill-advised to project those values on others, particularly on the ancient Hebrews for whom those stories were written or even on your Christian contemporaries, notably the Orthodox and Oriental churches. Many of those bodies reject the theory of evolution, but they also reject the "literal and inerrant" view of scripture held by YECs.The accurate survival rate would certainly be higher if the Bible just said God created the universe...period. Not nearly as much to remember.
And how many more people prefer a accurate account? I think you are really reaching to think that anywhere near a majority would prefer an inaccurate story over the very interesting facts. I wan the fact, hands down, without a second thought.
