You'll find the Biblical case for the traditional view is not that strong at all.
But if you prefer people people to be tortured for ever and ever you should have a look at your heart.
But maybe you don't realize what eternity really means, because it's hard to imagine it.
It means it will never ever end. NEVER. It means it will continue ALWAYS. NO END or outcome.

1) Acts 20:30 --- distort the truth in order to draw disciples away
2) Galatians 1:8-9 --- they're preaching another gospel
3) 2 Timothy 4:3 --- people will not put up with sound doctrine
