The core foundation on which the christian faith stands is as follows:
I will write my laws in their minds and place them on their hearts
Then he adds
THEIR SINS AND LAWLESS DEEDS I WILL REMEMBER NO MORE( hence no law of righteousness)
Heb10:16&17
Paul confirms:
Christ is the end of the law unto righteousness for everyone who believeth
Rom10:4
And again
Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law rom3:20
And again:
But now a righteousness APART from law has been made known rom3:21
And again:
But we maintain a man is justified/ righteous by faith APART from observing the law rom3:28
And again:
For sin shall no longer be your master for you are not under law but under grace rom6:14
And again:
For through the law I died to the law so I might live for God gal2:19
And again:
I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the law Christ died for nothing gal2:21
And again:
Not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law but that which is through faith in Christ phil3:9
And again:
So my brothers you also died to the law through the body of Christ that you might belong to another to him who was raised from the dead rom7:4
And again:
But now, by dying to what once bound us we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the spirit, not the old way of the written code rom7:6
And again:
We who are Jews by birth and not gentile sinners know that a man is NOT justified/ righteous by observing the law but by faith I Jesus Christ. So we too have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified / righteous by faith in Christ and NOT by observing the law. Because by observing the law NO ONE will be justified / righteous
Gal2:15&16
And again:
For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from FIRST TO LAST
Rom1:17
And again:
Clearly NO ONE is justified/ righteous before God by observing the law Gal3:11
And again
What then was the purpose of the law? It was added because of transgression UNTIL the seed to whom the promise referred had come( Christ) gal3:19
And again:
Before this faith came we were held prisoners by the law, locked up until faith should be revealed. So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ, that we might be justified/righteous by faith. Now that faith has come we are no longer under the supervision of the law
Gal3:23-25
If you want to reject the core foundation on which the NC stands, and the core message of the person who wrote half the books of the NT, why would you want to claim the Christian faith as your own?
