Jesus sent His disciples through the fields to glean on the Sabbath.

Jesus did not observe all of the traditions and neither did the Apostles, such as the washing of hands.Jesus was Jew, he lived as a Jew, prayed as one in the Jewish synagogues, observed all Jewish holy days and traditions
Were Abel, Noah, Job, Abraham, Issac, etc. in the old covenant, the Law of Moses? No, they were under other covenants with God. So covenants do change and are given to different peoples in different times. The 10 Commandments given by God in the Old Testament continue to be God’s expectations of Christians today. The truth is that Jesus did not change His mind about the importance of keeping all of the 10 Commandments. As Hebrews 13:8 states: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
Hello Mike.I can't seem to find a single christian who follows the sabbath and I am not understanding why?
Jesus was Jew, he lived as a Jew, prayed as one in the Jewish synagogues, observed all Jewish holy days and traditions and he had said "obey my laws" which was referring to the 10 commandments. So guys, what possible reasondoes any christian have not to observe the sabbath please?
Thanks for the inputs guys, I just finished reading this short article:
Jesus and His Apostles Affirm the Need to Obey God's Commandments
You will be able to find and read dozens of arguments for each side of the question you pose. It has been a point of disagreement between christians since the beginning of the Church. Also, be cognizant of the fact that you often don't know the depth of scholarship supporting such articles as this
As to the Sabbath, … my Bible study has led me to conclude that God desires that we “Remember” that He rested after His creative work, and that we should strive to keep the Sabbath holy, do no work on that day, … and dedicate it to God and His service. We should also take into account Jesus’ own teaching that it is good … to do good … on the Sabbath, … and that the Sabbath was made for man, … and not man for the Sabbath.
In other words, it’s not something that we’re required to do, … but is something that is a blessing for us, in which we honor God … and do His good will.

All of the above very accurate in my opinion and great points, thanks! My summation is everyone will have their own and different beliefs and I am to listen to them and respect them whether I agree with them or not and keep on learning.
There's a difference between being hungry & walking through a field and plucking a few grains to eat, versus walking into a field with a basket and sickle to work and labor and harvest a crop.Jesus sent His disciples through the fields to glean on the Sabbath.

That's like picking an apple off the tree on Sabbath, vs being out there with baskets and harvesting apples all day. Plucking a few grains or whatever it was that they plucked, is different from working and harvesting the field.
Buying, selling, cooking, housework should not be done on Sabbath. We have 6 days of the week to do all of these things. You did not indicate any day-long labor in your previous post. You said ... getting groceries, shopping, housework, cooking.
None of these are day-long endeavors in and of themselves. As such, I believe that they are allowable (in moderation) in a day devoted to God's remembrance.
After all, ... we must eat ...

Yes he did but he wasn't buying and selling and cooking and doing housework on the Sabbath - nor were the apostles. That's according to you.
OTOH, Jesus taught that it is GOOD to do GOOD, even on the Sabbath.
