I've been baptised since 8 but didnt start living my life for God until last year. (22 years old). I've been growing in my faith amazingly. I spend time with God daily but i keep having these weird horrible dreams. They're like, I'm trying to help someone get saved and I end up sinning. A lot of them are sexual too . like guy on guy sexual and im a married women so they make me very uncomfortable. I keep praying for this to end but they keep coming.. I feel like im under spiritual attack or something. How do I stop this from happening?

There could be a few roots to the problem, but one may be the fact you decided to stop sinning, and that pressure is causing the dreams, that is if there is any pressure, since I don't know what your sins were.

That's just one theory though. Getting to the root of the problem would be something for a psychiatrist to deal with, but before I did anything drastic, I think I'd just try to ignore them and once the pressure, if any, subsides, maybe the dreams will.

How long have they been going on?

I noticed that making a habit of rejecting sinful thoughts and imaginations throughout the day also provides for better sleep.

“Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” (2 Corinthians 10:5) (KJV 1900)

We censor every impure thought or imagination. And change the channel in our thinking on any thought that does not conform to obedience to Christ.

And we replace it with:

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” (Philippians 4:8)

Knowing Jesus is God and God is love. So Jesus is lord of our lives when love rules our thoughts and actions.

I can't say that this is what is happening to you but I can say the following about myself. I went through a period like this not so long ago, I too believed it was an attack. During my prayer life in the day I decided to order any demons surrounding me away in the name of Jesus and asked Jesus to escort them away. I proclaimed pout loud in my house that I belong to Jesus Christ. By the way there were more than just dreams going on fwiw. During the night when I wake up to roll over or if to make a 1 am pee call, I keep God at hand and shoot a prayer off of thanksgiving and praise for what ever in my life , I just pick any item at random. The dreams stopped. All are not perfect dreams but they aren't dreams of demons or sinners sinning either. Some are great dreams. I seemed to get attacked most when I had just come out boldly for Christ, perhaps the day before or two days before. Even here in the forum, I have expressed boldly that someone needs Christ and I'd get one of these dreams. Satan hates Jesus. I've heard from many pastors that this is not uncommon.

Most common for this was the 3 am hour or there abouts but that is also the time I have had prophetic dreams too. I say I believe it was an attack because two times in dreams I found myself pinned to the bed by lanky looking demonic creatures and when I awoke my shoulders were still feeling the pressure though the demon was of course gone. I was never scared, I knew this was against Christ and my position in Him.

Who lived in the house before you, specifically the bedroom?
Have you got any occult type books in the house? Get rid of them.
I ask because sometimes previous occupiers have done unlawful stuff and this may bring a demonic attachment to the home. If you don't feel confident enough, get someone to pray through the house in Jesus name. Dedicate each room and your bed to Jesus and tell every spirit that may be attached there that the blood of Jesus cancels their contract in every case. Some may ridicule this , no problem, they are ignorant of the spirit realm if they do.
And lastly, what about your husband? Is he battling with sexual stuff too? Perhaps your dreams are revealing the spiritual battle that he is under and you are to pray and get the victory for both of you??

Ok this sounds extremely close to what I am going through. I will continue to fight in spiritual warfare. As i do believe this is an attack. Because this happens to me also when I help people or Correct them.

You continue to have these "bad dreams" because you consider them "bad" thereby giving them power. Once you are able to have them and completely ignore them....they will flee. Then the "devil" will find something new get you all worked up about. When he is able to get you to think about the bad.....you will have no time to think about the good.....

Well, if these things are ultimately demonic in origin - and it looks like they are - then it may help to make a distinctly spiritual response to them: Use these dreams as a trigger to remind yourself of God's truth and to spend time talking with Him in prayer. If doing so becomes your reflex in response to such vile dreams, those agents of the devil foisting such dreams upon you will leave off their attacks. They certainly don't want to be responsible for driving you toward God, you see. It may, however, take a bit of time and consistency in responding to the yucky dreams this way before the demon(s) inserting them into your dreams are convinced they are doing their cause more harm than good and leave off disturbing you through your dreams.

You should also have your husband covering you in prayer.

I also have very vivid dreams of all types but in the morning I realize I have no control over them so I move on.

I have weird dreams and some horrible nightmares if I wasn’t ‘right’ when I went to bed. In pain, anxious, even anything I read or watch before bed gets in. I learned to chalk it up to better sleep routine required and it’s rare now. I think if they had any actual meaning God would make sure I had no doubt at all.

Trinity, I feel peace in my house now ( or I should say again). And other Christians who have been here and don't know this story also say how peaceful it is to be here. We speak Christ Crucified here freely.

When this passes you will have found the key to the trial and you will feel you passed some sort of test, if it's anything like I went through that is. I love the Lord and had to proclaim it. Now I do that for local tv in introductions for a pastor friends recorded tv broadcasts. About 5 or 6 years ago we used to have bible study here at the house, we may be going back to doing that again.
