I see, so if I'm asked to swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, all I can do is say "Jesus" over and over?

I'm pretty sure there are meaningful and important truths which are not discussed in the Bible.

If God is the only trtuth that you are to pursue, then we can dispense with an aweful lot of instruction. No need for math, geology, or physics, or even literature. We could just have students study the Bible all day long. and then we'd be almost caught up to the Taliban. Now that's what I call reform!

Yes, by accepting Jesus in your life, you shall discover the truth about our existance and also He, by His Holy Spirit will also give to you fresh, new, revelations or truths, from the bible through-out your whole life here on earth!

Excellent, I will start the stoning committee just as soon as I finish reading Leviticus and Deuteronomy. I assume we will be holding a rather large book burning in the near future. After all there are a large number of people using other sources of knowledge. This must be stopped!

Not at all!... But if you are looking for the truth about our existance and our future... LOOK TO GOD.. He will reveal the truth to you and you'll have no need to wonder anymore, quit looking in books, links, to scientists, etc... Look to God and you will find your answers in Him!

since i'm having quite a bit of trouble doing it myself, could you help me?  turn to god and ask him what he says about the quantum theory.  i'd really like to learn, but i can't seem to find the guy.

God also tells me he's sorry for the Creationists, and thanks himself that most people know what really happened.

How is God using me through studying evolution? I don't know if this is even an answerable question. How is God using you through the study of the Bible? The phrasing is just unclear.

How is God using the study of evolution to proclaim His truth? I guess the same way he uses the study of physics to help us understand travel in space and build better bridges. That knowledge isn't in the Bible but it's very handy.

I don't look to evolution to answer questions about what the purpose of my life is. I don't look to evolution to meet my spiritual needs. I accept evolution as the mechanism for how we arrived at such a diversity of life on this planet. I believe that God is the ultimate truth, and that by learning more about this natural world (that I believe he created somehow along the way) I learn more about the wonder that He created.

And don't worry about belittling me--I don't think it's possible.

So Christians should be able to read the Bible and God will give them a newrevelation about how to discover whether the listeria that kills some people through food poisoning is the same listeria from a certain slaughterhouse?

If you're a Christian meat inspector, should you just read the Bible and God will give you new revelations about which plants have unsafe butchering practices?

Or is this not a worthy purpose? Keeping the public healthy and safe from food-borne illnesses may be too trifling for God to give you a new revelation in the Bible. Maybe He thought we could figure that one out on our own.

I have seen lions eating a Gazelle while the Gazelle is standing there...its didn't have a broken back. It was being eaten alive, feeling every rip of its flesh.

Nope, I am a meat eater. But I also have a fallen nature, as do all of us. However, I don't eat animals alive.

You should read up on the food processing industry, souljah. Or on factory farms if you think that the lion that has no concept of mercy is worse than we humans who do understand mercy. That gazelle has lived its life as it was meant to--on its on terms until a natural death. Our animals that we eat live completely unaturally and are subjected to some pretty inhumane practices. Their whole lives are misery up until their deaths. And oftentimes their deaths are painful and cruel.

No, I'm not a vegetarian either--and my family makes good money raising beef cattle, but I do consider where my food comes from and try to buy and eat responsibly as much as I can.

You haven't answered many of my other questions, though. Why does a lion need mercy? Why are our standards to be considered similar to God's standards of goodness? If there was no physical death before the fall of man, do you agree that no animals ate anything because digestion causes cell death? If carnivores are a result of the fall of man, then did some animals evolve after the fall?
